Category:Lists of hospitals in Thailand

Hi Jennes

I see you want to upmerge Category:Lists of hospitals in Thailand.

However, the nomination process hasn't worked properly, and you also emptied the category before nomination which is a no-no.

Hi BrownHairedGirl, thanks for your reaction! Sorry about that, I emptied it before I read the instructions about deleting a category. Won't happen again.. :) I have reverted the changes I made. Don't worry, the glitches are easily fixed. It can be difficult learning these procedures, and it's great that you are engaging with the process. I wish it was less cumbersome.

There's just one step still missing: tagging the category, to alert other editors that it it under discussion. You need to edit the category page, and add at the top {{subst:cfm|Hospitals in Thailand}}

That will tag it ... and as you can see, the tag includes a shortcut to creating the entry on the discussion page. Next time, if you start with the tag, you'll find the process much easier. Good luck! --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 14:19, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

Hand-coding

Hey all :).

I'm dropping you a note because you've been involved in dealing with feedback from the Article Feedback Tool. To get a better handle on the overall quality of comments now that the tool has become a more established part of the reader experience, we're undertaking a round of hand coding - basically, taking a sample of feedback and marking each piece as inappropriate, helpful, so on - and would like anyone interested in improving the tool to participate :).

You can code as many or as few pieces of feedback as you want: this page should explain how to use the system, and there is a demo here. Once you're comfortable with the task, just drop me an email at okeyeswikimedia.org and I'll set you up with an account :).

Invite to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most geography, wildlife and women articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing, whether it's a river in Malawi, a Nigerian footballer, or a South African civil rights activist, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. For those of you who signed up to the North African contest, that will hopefully be held in the new year. AfroCine: Join the Months of African Cinema this October!

After a successful first iteration of the “Months of African Cinema” last year, we are happy to announce that it will be happening again this year, starting from October 1! In the 2018 edition of the contest, about 600 Wikipedia articles were created in at least 8 languages. There were also contributions to Wikidata and Wikimedia commons, which brought the total number of wikimedia pages created during the contest to over 1,000.
