Welcome to Wikipedia - I have reverted your change to a redirect at Donaldson International Airlines as that is the correct name. If you have a reliable source that says it is not then please discuss on the talk page. You are right I have corrected the 707 to 707-321. The Air-Britain Boeing 707 book has Donaldson International Airlines (Donaldson Line (Air Service) Ltd) and the Charles Woodley Bristol Britannia book has Donaldson International Airways ! - Not saying one or the other is right I think we need to do some more research on the name and see if I can find an official source rather than an enthusiast publications. Found a legal report in the Edinburgh Gazette (an official government newspaper) which has Donaldson Line (Air Services) Limited trading as Donaldson International Airways. I have moved the article as approporiate. Thanks for your help. MilborneOne (talk) 12:20, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

Hello Serjinh81, planespotters.net is the only website on that lists HT as IATA designator for Modiluft (without giving any source for that claim). Take a look to the Flight International, Issue April 3-9 1996 (Flightglobal archive) or at Rzjets.net or at airframes.org or at azfreight.com or atlasnavigator.com or the printed JP airline-fleets yearbooks that were published in 1995 and 1996 They all list M9 instead of HT as IATA designator.--Jewido (talk) 12:05, 6 August 2017 (UTC)

Hello Serjinh81, ICAO switched from its old two-letter-designator-system to the current three-letter-designator-system in late 1987 (source: Yearbook of the United Nations 1987, visible here: Yearbook of the United Nations 41.1987, Chapter X, p. 1259, at Google Books). ICAO codes have been issued since 1947. The ICAO codes originally based on a two-letter-system and were identical to the airline codes used by IATA. After an airline voluntarily joined IATA its existing ICAO-two-letter-code was simply taken over as IATA code. So in the 1970s the abbreviation BA was the ICAO code and the IATA code of British Airways while non-IATA-airlines (mainly cargo- or charter airlines) like Court Line used their 2-letter-abbreviation as ICAO code only. In the early 1980s ICAO presented the current three-letter-system due to the increasing number of airlines. It became the official new ICAO-standard-system in November 1987 while IATA kept the older 2-letter-system introduced by IACO in 1947. It is simply impossible that Air Ceylon (which ceased operations in 1978) or any other airline could have had an ICAO 3-letter-designator (3-letter-code) in the 1970s. The ICAO-code of Air Ceylon was AE - identically to the IATA-code used by the airline (source: JP airline-fleets yearbooks published by Buchair, Switzerland in 1977 and 1978). Due to this I have provided sources for these information. Please ask yourself in future whether the other one could be right before you block him.
