Wikipedia is not a fanpage[edit]
Hello, content in articles must be neutrally presented and verified as having been published in a reliable source, particularly if it is regarding living people. The "large amount of content" that I removed from the article was all in violation of our content policies. Active Banana (bananaphone 01:22, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- To add content to an article, you should find a reliable source - news.google.com and books.google.com are generally good places to start looking, although there are very few Korean based sites that come up there. But in general you want to look for standard newspapers and highly regarded music industry periodicals (the equivilent of - Rolling Stone, Vibe (magazine), or Spin (magazine) in the US) that have a reputation for fact checking and accuracy and not celebrity gossip. Then you need to connect the claims to the source either with a simple link or you can go fully professional WP:CITE. Active Banana (bananaphone 01:34, 17 February 2011 (UTC)
- Secondary sources not related to the band, their agent or their record label are best because, even if unintentionally, people have a tendency to place themselves in a good light and Wikipedia strives to present content as objectively as possible. Therefore the bands website can be used with caution to present non-promotional and non-controversial material - ie. birth locations, "song X is about my trip to Y", "musically I am inspired by musician Z". - Well, birthdates are potentially disputable, but until there is some contention noted in a reliable source a primary source is OK. And the fact that the band is signed to a certain company can be cited to the company or bands own website - again, unless there is an overt contestation. But really now, how are the band members birthdates really important to know? Just because something can be sourced, does not mean that it should be included. - Before you create stand alone articles for the band members themselves, you would need to be able to show that the member was notable for something OTHER than simply being in the band. Orphaned non-free image File:DreamHigh PromotionalPoster.png[edit]
Thanks for uploading File:DreamHigh PromotionalPoster.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
