walther[edit]

You may want to have a look in on Talk:Walther P22 again. Griot has canvassed only those users who want to keep the VT mention in the article, so I am alerting those who were not yet contacted. There has been discussion on WP:ANI about the outcome of the previous polls. Your continued involvement in the discussion(s) would be welcomed. ··coelacan 23:06, 30 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Excel[edit]

Hi. Thanks for all of your help. Just so you know ... this below is exactly what I am trying to do. (I only say this so as to avoid any confusion between what I want to do, and whatever examples you may arbitrarily place into the file that you will email me as a sample.)

A+ starts at 96 2/3 and ends at 100
A starts at 93 1/3 and ends just before 96 2/3
A- starts at 90 and ends just before 93 1/3
B+ starts at 86 2/3 and ends just before 90
B starts at 83 1/3 and ends just before 86 2/3
B- starts at 80 and ends just before 83 1/3
C+ starts at 76 2/3 and ends just before 80
C starts at 73 1/3 and ends just before 76 2/3
C- starts at 70 and ends just before 73 1/3
D+ starts at 66 2/3 and ends just before 70
D starts at 63 1/3 and ends just before 66 2/3
D- starts at 60 and ends just before 63 1/3
F starts at 0 and ends just before 60

In other words, the minimum cut-off score "allows" the student to "enter" into that next-higher grade zone. Thus, if I am a student, once I "hit" 93 1/3, I am now eligible for the A grade and not the A- grade (and so forth). Can all of this be done? Thanks! My email is (snip, sent!) Thank you! The file has been sent to you. Note that I added a grade tier (100) for testing purposes, you can simply delete it from the list of grades and it will revert to the grade rules as previously set forth. The examples illustrate that when Excel 'converts' something to a fraction it is only showing you the fraction value, what it has stored may not be exactly that fraction. This is how two grades showing '100' have two different outcomes (one is actually 99.999 and the other 100). --Jmeden2000 (talk) 18:11, 4 February 2010 (UTC)
Thanks a lot. I really appreciate all the work, time, and explanations. I will take a look at all of this material tomorrow, when I have free time. Thank you! (64.252.68.102 (talk) 18:24, 4 February 2010 (UTC))[reply]

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:25, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
