Tag in article[edit]

Hi Joanne:

When I was tagging that article, the article wasn't in "speedy deletion", and when I finished to tag the article I saw the tag for "speedy deletion"; I use scripts, and in sometimes, is hard to see if the article is to speedy deletion before I put the tags. Well I'll look with more atention in Newpages (I'm new here, and I'm learning how work English Wikipedia, but I wait learn more), Thanks! =D

Thanks Joanne, and I wait make a good job here, and I'm very perfeccionist, so I don't like to make mistakes; If I do something bad, contact me. (you can make a thing for me? You know where is the pages about the "politics of Englis Wikipedia?" I would like to read theses pages, because how I said "I don't like to make mistakes" and I need to read theses pages to this don't happen). Thanks. --Brunoy Anastasiya Seryozhenko (talk) 20:32, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Message from a vandal[edit]

Hey asshole dont change my shit. Erybody hatin on me cuz i black..... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.169.45.172 (talk) 21:06, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Goodday, sir. I'm sorry that you did not appreciate my revert of your edit. However, rest assured that I do not hate you, nor does your being black have anything to do with it. It might be news to you, but on Wikipedia, when you're vandalising 'anonymously' the only thing that's visible is your IP number, and not the colour of your skin. Anyway, if you'd like to gain some respect here, please don't call me an asshole, and please don't assume that your replacement of large chunks of text with your own prose will be seen as an improvement by everyone. Thanks, and have a nice day. --JoanneB 21:12, 16 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Inappropriate User/User-talk pages[edit]

I noticed you nixed User talk:Estyair due to inappropriate content. I stumbled on what looks like the same user(s) doing the same thing again at User talk:Foxyesty. I don't know if I should just delete it or if it's proper to bring it up with an administrator. Cheers, Pugget (talk) 00:13, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Never-mind, it's been fixed. Is there a way to put a watch on the IP addresses of the users who were inappropriately using the talk-page and watch for recurrence? Cheers, Pugget (talk) 19:55, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I see that WSiegmund has already taken care of it, if you see it happen again you can bring it up here or on his talk page, or at the administrator's noticeboard. It appears to be from quite some time ago, the latest was from around October 28th, so I'm guessing they'll have moved on to another page. Good call though, as they appear to be rather persistent and have ignored quite a couple of warnings so far! It's hard to track them down though, for you'd need checkuser rights to see their IPs and do something about it. They jump from username to username, so watching the usernames doesn't really work out well either...--JoanneB 20:04, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Chavez Tachira.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Chavez Tachira.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 19:53, 13 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I never uploaded that picture, I think there's been some confusion because I reverted some vandalism on it years ago. Feel free to delete it! --JoanneB 10:08, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Admin Coaching Re-confirmation[edit]

Hello, previously you expressed interest in participating in the Wikipedia:Admin coaching project. We are currently conducting a reconfirmation drive to give coaches the opportunity to update their information and capacity to participate in the project. Please visit Wikipedia:Admin coaching/Status to update your status. Also, please remember to update your capacity (5th table variable) in the form of a fraction (eg. 2/3 means you are currently coaching 2 students, and could accept 1 more student). Thank you. STAVIES (algorithm)[edit]

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article STAVIES (algorithm), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you agree with the deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please add {{db-author}} to the top of STAVIES (algorithm). B. Testwiki adminship[edit]

[1] — please, confirm that it was you (since we already had your impostors banned on incubator last week). Thanks — VasilievV 2 10:42, 11 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No, that wasn't me. --JoanneB 18:50, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Moving pages[edit]

I was tempted to move your userpage to "JoanneB on married wheels" but thought better of it ;) --Alf melmac 06:33, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Bot on wikinews[edit]

Your bot running on Wikinews has been blocked for 48 hours. It is defective and unapproved. --Brian McNeil /talk 11:24, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually I wonder if someone is trying to pretend to be you, could you confirm whether you are in fact responsible for this bot? This is in reference to this user. Adambro (talk) 11:40, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I suspect Adambro has caught the issue here. Assuming this is not your bot, my apologies for the blunt above comment. The bot, or user masquerading as a bot, n:User:HespalBot, is now indefinitely blocked. --Brian McNeil /talk 13:24, 4 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I don't run bots. I never have, and I don't think I ever will. So if you ever have any doubts whether I'm running some bot, please assume it's not me, and block them if they try to tell you otherwise. --JoanneB 12:48, 7 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Someone, probably you, requested access to the account creation tool. For security purposes could you please confirm that it was you who made the request so we can approve you, thanks. ——Possum (talk) 00:05, 3 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
