MARC Edit[edit]
The main reasons I had made my edit were two fold. Firstly, to bring the link in line with the name of the Wikipedia article on the MARC Train. There was a long discussion on the appropriate name for that article, and the consensus was that fully spelling out "Maryland Area Rail Commuter" was a poor choice per WP:COMMONNAME, and that it had largely been dropped from regular use.
Secondly, the current phrasing of the link is redundant, and implies that "Maryland Area Rail Commuter" is the parent agency, while "MARC" is the name of the service (similar to the "MTA Metro-North Railroad"). That would be an inaccurate rendering, as the parent agency is MTA Maryland, and "Maryland Area Commuter Rail" (Which, after typing 3 times in this message, deserves an acronym!) is the service.
