Why is Wikipedia still not naming public record candidates for Arizona Special Election District 8?

This is a public website from the AZ SOS listing all of the candidates, anyone in the public could go to this as the OFFICIAL source of registered candidates:

http://www.arizona.vote/

I am still not listed as a candidate...

no Declined Unfortunately, I cannot access whatever portal it is that you are using to bring up that list. I suggest you take up this question with Antonia Noori Farzan, who is a staff writer at the Phoenix New Times. Ms. Farzan has been reporting the news on candidates and compiling a list of all their names for the New Times coverage of the Special Election. Her most recent posting shown here, which according to her is current through December 23, does not list you. Ms. Farzan may be reached by email at the following address: antonia.farzan@newtimes.com

  • Spintendo if you click on the very link in your response it goes DIRECTLY to the PUBLIC Arizona Secretary of State website which lists me as a candidate, how much more clear could this possibly be???
  • So you are telling me that a public website for the GOVERNING AGENCY listing the candidates is not a verifiable source over a private newspaper?

  • Can I finally be listed on Wikipedia for an election I have been running for since the day it started? Our website link should be connected to my name www.jpheffernancongress.org
  • This is not a conflict of interest it is public information I am a candidate like the ten others you have listed

Johnheff00 This is simply not what Wikipedia is for. We cannot help you with other websites and we aren't a directory. Not every politician is notable. And it's not a matter of just being verifiable. I can verify that my friend's business exists, but without independent coverage (ie. not a directory listing or filing) there's no notability. • Chrissymad okay well I was told several times that coverage of my candidacy by independent news agencies of which now several have would verify me and facilitate placement on the page for this election. Currently you have seven candidates listed who have never run for office and have not done so much as one interview, newspaper piece or set up a campaign website and certainly are not household names nor have ever held political office. Thus one can only wonder what precisely your definition of notable is. End of the day if Wikipedia purports to be an accurate depiction of relevant candidates in this election, you are not.
