Prod[edit]

I fixed the proposed deletion format on John Jackson (hacker). It should now be added to the proper maintenance pages and when the 7 days expires, an administrator will delete the article (unless someone contests it by removing the prod tag). Schazjmd (talk) 23:50, 29 March 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Much appreciated. Johnjhacking (talk) 01:06, 1 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Johnjhacking,
I just wanted to let you know that I deleted the article you PROD'd (Proposed deletion). I almost didn't want to because it sounds like you have been involved in some fascinating work on a subject I know little about. But with PRODs, they are considered uncontroversial deletions and so legitimate requests are usually granted. I just hope if you ever have some free time, you could help keep Wikipedia articles on the subjects of internet security and hacking up-to-date. You have an expertise that could really be put to good use here should you ever have the inclination to share your knowledge. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 21:13, 5 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
For sure. I might do so. Additionally, if you could help me get rid of the Wikidata entry on me, I'd much appreciate that. Johnjhacking (talk) 20:27, 11 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Honestly, if you want - you can restore the page, it's up to you. Originally I had planned to have it permanently deleted, but the German translation still exists because they refused to take it down & it somehow ended up on military fandom as well, so it's not going anywhere. Might as well restore it because now it just exists translated and out of context. Johnjhacking (talk) 18:36, 25 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
