James sowers

James Sowers is a Korean-American businessman and philanthropist. He is a former singer/songwriter who has overcome being abandoned at birth to become a successful investor in real estate and public and private companies. He is currently syndicating startups on angelist via his PopUp VC mode.

As of April 2017 he has an estimated net worth of $25 million. He was an early investor in Hanson Natural. Notable exits include Rewalk Robotics, Crisper, Editas, and Innovation Homes. He has invested directly in Six foods(Chirps Chips) as seen on Shark Tank,ShearShare (y-combinator fellow and 500 startups),Doorstat (Dodgers/RGA) and the revolutionary 3-D robotics printing company Voodoo Manufacturing(y- Combinator W17) . He is also an Executive Producer of Independant films in partnership with Legacy Entertainment Partners and the founder of the think tank Greater Good Society.
