Deletionists now control Wikipedia[edit]

Hello, Jokestress. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Ivan Fyodorovich Karamazov".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. If you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. Liz Read! Talk! 01:07, 9 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Response re: United States Code[edit]

I am familiar with WP:CIVIL, thank you. That particular comment you are referring to was drafted to be as coldly civil as possible. (I had pulled back on that comment after I realized the civil approach is that an attorney should be gentle in pointing out an error by a layperson on an arcane issue that requires at least one year of law school to master.)

Upon further reflection, I concede that I may not have reached that goal in two respects: I should not have used the phrase "lack of understanding" and the word "mess." They sound too harsh standing alone (because I had already toned down what was originally a longer comment and pulled out the larger context for those terms). So for that poor choice of words, I apologize.

As to the substance of my criticism, I stand by it as legitimate. It is not a personal attack to point out that an edit is factually incorrect and created unnecessary work for other editors—which is why the error has persisted for 13 years. --Coolcaesar (talk) 23:52, 26 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Ozidi has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article has no encyclopedic content that I can see and no reliable sources. It has remained unassessed for 15 years. Should probably be merged into The Ozidi Saga which is equally vague and non-encyclopedic.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Tauschia (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
  • disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
  • is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
