Thanks[edit]

Thanks for reverting the vandalism on my user page. I'd like to say I hope I can return the favor some day but I hope it doesn't happen to you.  :) Have a good day, hombre de haha 21:03, 26 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jean-Paul Ney[edit]

I happened to notice your expertise in the French language and was wondering if you might be able to assist with the Jean-Paul Ney article. There are concerns that potentially libelous material being added from French language sources may violate WP:BLP. I'm hampered by the language barrier and am looking for some assistance. Thanks! About the CSD...[edit]

Usually, if there isn't already a speedy template for whatever you think should be deleted, then the reason you have for deleting it isn't covered by the WP:CSD. Please use the WP:PROD process in these cases instead of the {{db-reason}} tag. Thanks. --lifebaka (Talk - Contribs) 23:05, 14 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

ProtoStar[edit]

Hi Jolenine. The ProtoStar article isn't intentionally written like an advertisement. Unfortunately it does suffer from my sloppiness. I have been rewriting various press releases in an attempt at encyclopedic text, in preparation for the launch of ProtoStar's first satellite in the next few weeks. I've tried to cite a variety of sources; unfortunately since they're almost all press releases from the various companies involved the prose does tend to sound promotional. I would dearly appreciate any help you can provide in this regard. Can you point me to an article about a communications satellite or communications satellite company that has a better prose style I could emulate? Thanks! Satchmo (online store)[edit]

Greetings! I wanted to let you know that I've removed the speedy deletion tag from Satchmo (online store). The article appears to be about the software that drives the store, and software is specifically excluded from criterion A7. However, the article may still be put up for deletion through either proposed deletion or AfD discussion. —C.Fred (talk) 04:31, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If that is so, you have two options: if the hoax is blatant even to those unfamiliar with the Houston Dynamo, you can tag it {{db-vandalism}}. Otherwise, you can list the article at WP:AFD for evaluation.  Blanchardb -MeMyEarsMyMouth- timed 01:03, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

An exciting opportunity to get involved![edit]

As a member of the Aviation WikiProject or one of its subprojects, you may be interested in testing your skills in the Aviation Contest! I created this contest, not to pit editor against editor, but to promote article improvement and project participation and camraderie. Hopefully you will agree with its usefulness. Sign up here, read up on the rules here, and discuss the contest here. The first round of the contest may not start until September 1st-unless a large number of editors signup and are ready to compete immediately! Since this contest is just beginning, please give feedback here, or let me know what you think on my talkpage. - Trevor MacInnis contribs 04:39, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy Deletion Converted to PROD: Touched by an angel episode guide[edit]

Hello Jolenine, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I have changed a page you tagged (Touched by an angel episode guide) from being tagged for speedy deletion to being tagged for proposed deletion. The speedy deletion criteria are very narrow to protect the encyclopedia, and do not fit the page in question. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Thanks again! Tim Song (talk) 08:47, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Would you consider userfying the article which you put up for deletion? The will delete the article from main space completely and move it to a sub-page of the creators.

The editor is a new editor, and this will give the new user a chance to rework this article and maybe wikipedia will get a long term dedicated editor

Please let me know as soon as possible, because as soon as someone else comments on the AfD, they must agree also before I can userfy the article. Thanks for your time.Ikip (talk) 20:19, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Userfying this page is a great idea, but I don't know if it is a copy vio because it looks almost the same as this page : [1] Jolenine (Talk - Contribs) 20:36, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
ouch that isn't good. I will hold off userfying it then. Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Ikip (talk) 21:05, 13 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Out of curiosity...[edit]

  • What exactly is a "medium" delete? THE AMERICAN METROSEXUAL 02:39, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • lol. Its like deleting but with a slight hesitation, not enough to consider it as a weak delete. ;) Sorry, if this has confused anybody. Jolenine (Talk - Contribs) 22:17, 14 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you![edit]

Thanks so much for reverting the vandalism on my userpage. What frightens me slightly is that the IP address is local, so I don't know whether to take it personally or not. Anyway, you're doing great, and thanks! --lovelaughterlife♥talk? 20:39, 20 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Edit Summary[edit]

I changed the photos around because the way they were before did not make any sense. Why put a picture of an AC 77W landing with a description of the new hotel in the Airlines and Destinations section :S and I'm not really obligated to say what I changed you could just see that by clicking (prev). Thanks Alexcaban (talk) (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 05:00, 4 October 2009 (UTC).[reply]

  • I clearly see your point here and I agree. Concerning the edit summary, indeed, you are not obliged to provided any, but it will greatly help to understand the reason behind you edits, per WP:FILLINEDITSUMMARY. I know I can see what you did by clicking in the previous, but it does not say why you did it, thus it can create conflict (because everyone has different opinions and ways of doing things) and perhaps an editing war. I want to keep it cool and hope that the situation will not degenerate. Thanks! Jolenine (Talk - My Contribs) 14:40, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Montreal skyline montage[edit]

Hey! I posted in the "Montreal talk" section about the montage. I think its terrific, but it would be even better with a daytime, more impressive skyline shot, preferably taken from Champlain or Jacques-Cartier bridges. Let me know what you think! Mtlfiredude (talk) 14:50, 5 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. New deal for page patrollers[edit]

Hi Jolenine,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
