Hi, JonatasM, I saw your recent edits to Heritability of IQ. You mentioned an issue that is mentioned in the professional literature on the subject, but the way you wrote your addition is not quite how the professional sources summarize the issue. Do you have sources at hand? You are welcome to check the source list I keep in user space for all editors to use to verify facts in articles on that subject. It may be that the article needs a revision along the line of what you just did (and I just rolled back, assuming good faith on your part), but such a statement should be carefully written to match the most up-to-date and authoritative sources. (That's because several of the sources point out that there are many conceptual errors people fall into as they consider the issue of heritability and what heritability means, so very careful wording is highly recommended in most of the professional sources.) Hi WeijiBaikeBianji, my recent edition was just a reminder of content already mentioned earlier in the same article, after an assertion that seemed to not take it into account. See: "a 1996 statement by the American Psychological Association gave about .45 for children and about .75 during and after adolescence." It's an implication of this and an established notion in IQ literature that the influence of genes vs. the environment increases considerably from childhood to adulthood (from about .45 to in average .8), so studies made with children and claiming environmental influences should keep this in mind in their interpretation, that the environmental effects tend to considerably diminish by adulthood. I don't know if it's adequate for the article to mention it like I wrote, though. Feel free to change it or rearrange it. It's an excellent article by the way!
