Policy on Legal Threats[edit]

Please be aware that making a 'legal threat', as to sue, is treated sternly on Wikipedia. Threats normally result in a block from editing which is lifted only after the threat has been retracted or legal matters dealt with. This was my first reaction but since the cause of your threat has been dealt with I have decided I was overreacting. However, in the future, please be aware of how such thrats are dealt with. The details are at Wikipedia:No legal threats. RJFJR (talk) 16:59, 21 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Robert McClenon (talk) 00:03, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

  • The material you found objectionable in the Marc Randazza article was recently added by an IP address. As Andy pointed out to you at the Help desk, there was nothing to prevent you from removing the word "failed". If for some reason you are uncomfortable editing the article, you could have asked that the material be removed. Putting aside that legal threats are not tolerated at Wikipedia, there was no reason for you to jump right in and threaten. In the future, keep that in mind if you have a problem with any material in Wikipedia articles.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:14, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
