Oregon State University Black History Month Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, Friday, February 8[edit]

PNCA Art+Feminism Wikipedia Editathon, Saturday, March 9[edit]

The Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA) is hosting a Wikipedia edit-a-thon in the Shipley Collins Mediatheque (511 NW Broadway) on Saturday, March 9 from 10am – 2:30pm. This is a free community event designed to teach people to add and edit information about cis and transgender women and nonbinary folks to Wikipedia. We'll have training sessions, artist talks, snacks, free childcare, and plenty of exciting energy and collaboration! You're welcome to drop in any time during the event. International Women's Day Wikipedia Edit-a-thon, Oregon Jewish Museum, Thursday, March 7[edit]

The Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, in partnership with social practice artist Shoshana Gugenheim and as part of the Art+Feminism Project, will host the 2nd Annual International Women's Day Wikipedia Edit-a-thon to edit and/or create Wikipedia articles for Jewish women artists. The event will be held at the museum on Thursday, March 7 from 4 to 8 pm. Pre-registration is preferred but not required. Members of the public are invited to come to the museum to learn about the editing process, its history, its impact, and how to do it. We aim to collaboratively edit/enter 18 Jewish women artists into the canon. Support will be provided by an experienced local Wikipedian who will be on site to teach and guide the process. This edit-a-thon will serve as both a public art action and a public educational program. Participants will have an opportunity to select an artist/s ahead of time or on site.

Stand alone list articles[edit]

Hi Joshbaumgartner, Greetings. Pls note that stand alone list articles do need indepedent, reliable sources to support the content claimed just like any other articles. Pls see - Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists. Btw group sources are acceptable for stand alone list article. Once you have provide inline citation then kindly submit for review. Thank you. @CASSIOPEIA: You should move nearly all of the hundreds of ship event lists that exist to 'draft' state. Almost none of the items listed in them have inline citations. The sources for all of the items I have added to these lists are in the linked articles. They can be moved over if need be but the same standard should be applied to all then. @CASSIOPEIA: It is not a question of finding sources, as you say that is easy. I was just trying to be consistent with the existing list articles in the series which generally do not use them in the list. I am onboard with citations. It is also easy to see all of the similar articles in the series (see the navbox). I understand that targeting a few new articles is easier than actually comprehensively going through the series, including older articles to consistently apply the same criteria across the series. Hi Josh, group source is accepted for stand alone list. You dont need to provide ever list with citation, but as long as 3 or more sources mentioning the ship name and the year that will be sufficed unless the list is very long then more source might be needed. The point here is we need verification. Take your time to include some sources on all the navbox. When you have provided the sources on the draft articles, then let me know for I will review and place them on mainspace. Cheers. CASSIOPEIA(talk)

UK Shipbuliding[edit]

Hey there. Wanted to get your view on something. In the template Template:Ship_builder/United_Kingdom the entry for Mersey for some reason says it's in North Ireland for some weird reason. I've tried correcting it, but it keeps getting reset back to North Ireland instead of England. Since you created the template, do you have any idea what's going on and how to correct it? @Canterbury Tail: Thanks for spotting that! You fixed the template code, but the documentation portion still had the old North Ireland link, so that is why you were still seeing that after your edit. Backlog Banzai[edit]

In the month of September, Wikiproject Military history is running a project-wide edit-a-thon, Backlog Banzai. There are heaps of different areas you can work on, for which you claim points, and at the end of the month all sorts of whiz-bang awards will be handed out. Every player wins a prize! ArbCom 2019 election voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
