A tag has been placed on File:KidCudi.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. A tag has been placed on File:Finally Famous The Mixtape Front Cover.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a file showing no evidence that the copyright holder has released it under the license indicated by the uploader which has been tagged as such for more than 7 days, and it still lacks the necessary information.

Explanation of the above[edit]

Hello Joshua
Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions! As you have noticed, there were some problems with your image uploads. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and since you (in all likelyhood) do not own copyright of the images you uploaded, most had to be deleted again. The two album front covers could be kept right now under a claim of "fair use", I've changed the image description pages accordingly. The fair use criteria are very very strict, and the other images, including the album back covers, could not be kept that way. If you have questions about image copyright, either now or in the future when you want to upload additional images, feel free to ask either at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions or on my talk page.
Kind regards, Amalthea 18:47, 20 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:ManOnTheMoonTheEndOfDayFrontCover.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

A tag has been placed on File:ManOnTheMoonTheEndOfDayREALFrontCover.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. Hi. Just letting you know that I have reverted your changes that removed the covers. The covers on the page are the official covers and the source for where they come from are accurate, as covers that are posted on Amazon before the album is released are generally considered to be the official artwork (Note: Official images, images that are posted by a user are not considered to be official). You might be wondering why I tagged the images you uploaded for speedy deletion, the reasons for doing this are because the covers are too big and according to their non-free content policy, content has to be at a small size in order for it to be fair-use. Also there are ones with the text uploaded on them, which makes the ones without the text very redundant. Hope you understand. Taylor Karras (talk) 05:56, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Yes. Regardless of the accuracy, the version that you uploaded is not low-resolution, which is required per our non-free policies, and I have therefore deleted it. Also, second album covers are not allowed except in very limited circumstances, which don't apply here. Black Kite 10:47, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, JoshuaBrody. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. Taylor Karras (talk) 21:59, 24 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The article Finally Famous: The Mixtape has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:MUSIC. Mixtapes are generally not notable.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SummerPhD (talk) 03:58, 10 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
