Philip Noel Johnson

Hi Josve05a, I'm trying to understand why you think the article Philip Noel Johnson is more about him than the robbery? There is nothing in the article about him or his life except the events of the robbery. Even on the October 1997 Loomis Fargo robbery it states, "Not to be confused with the 1999Loomis Fargo Robbery in Florida." I was going to create a new article about the robbery and expand it, but it really seems that the present article is the basis for that, but not while it is an article about Johnson. Please, what are your thoughts? --UberVegan (talk) 16:02, 30 May 2019 (UTC)

When I tagged the article to be re-names it looked like this which began with introducing the person's name and had a biography section, so the main subject seemed to be the person (but the content may be predominantly WP:1EE...I place no judgment one way or another, as long as it is consistent throughout the article what the subject is meant to be. Thank you for the clarity. The biography section is not a biography section, but rather details about the crime. Even on the October 1997 Loomis Fargo robbery, it reads: "Not to be confused with the 1999 Loomis Fargo Robbery in Florida," and it is in red because there is no link. That is how the robbery is known and there has been nearly nothing written about Johnson to warrant an independant page. I'm going to request a move. Thank you. UberVegan🌾 00:06, 1 June 2019 (UTC)

Guideline and policy news

  • An RfC seeks to clarify whether WP:OUTING should include information on just the English Wikipedia or any Wikimedia project.
  • An RfC on WT:RfA concluded that Requests for adminship and bureaucratship are discussions seeking to build consensus.
  • An RfC proposal to make the templates for discussion (TfD) process more like the requested moves (RM) process, i.e. "as a clearinghouse of template discussions", was closed as successful.

Technical news

  • The CSD feature of Twinkle now allows admins to notify page creators of deletion if the page had not been tagged. The default behavior matches that of tagging notifications, and replaces the ability to open the user talk page upon deletion. You can customize which criteria receive notifications in your Twinkle preferences: look for Notify page creator when deleting under these criteria.
  • Twinkle's d-batch (batch delete) feature now supports deleting subpages (and related redirects and talk pages) of each page. The pages will be listed first but use with caution! The und-batch (batch undelete) option can now also restore talk pages.
