Information icon

Hello Joydbasu. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Joydbasu. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Joydbasu|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 07:08, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Article is not paid promotion[edit]

Please note as per your response this is to inform you that the article I'm supposed to publish is not a paid promotion or activity. If my profile is being checked i have not mentioned that i am doing any promotional activity.

Your guidelines and rules have been read and understood properly. When I'm searching for 'Namita Thapar' the search is taking me to these two pages for which i need your attention. The Namita Thapar page is empty with no information provided. Should I edit the page or can i create a new page.

My content is having valid reference and referral which is not paid promotion and all resources are found in internet as per the policy of wikipedia.

Kindly assist in order to publish the wiki page for Namita Thapar.

Regards, Joydeep B. Joydbasu (talk) 07:19, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

What is your association with Namita Thapar or Emcure Pharmaceuticals? You don't have to be engaged in formal "paid promotion" to be a paid editor- if you work for Emcure or Mr. Thapar, that is sufficient to trigger the paid editing disclosure requirement. 331dot (talk) 07:22, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Please note I'm a individual writer not associated or working with Emcure Pharmaceuticals or with Ms Namita Thapar. Any information if required to prove kindly let me know would place the information accordingly.
The reason for writing the article is that i have read and heard about her achievements and ironically no dedicated wiki page is available for her.
Kindly assist.
Regards,

In any event, writing a new article is the most difficult thing to attempt on Wikipedia. Unless one has extensive experience in creating articles, it is highly advised that Articles for Creation be used to create and submit a draft article. If accepted, it will be placed at the proper title by the reviewer. You will need to gather at least three independent reliable sources with significant coverage of Mr. Thapar(that are not press releases, sources from his company, interviews with him, brief mentions, routine announcements, or other primary sources). Any article should summarize those sources. Please read Your First Article. 331dot (talk) 07:27, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Team,
Thank you for your quick and positive response.
Please note I'm requesting to kindly assist with MRS. NAMITA THAPAR not MR. THAPAR. I have relevant information from various valid sources like economics times, hindustan times news paper and various other links which falls under the guidlines of wiki.
Kindly assist if i can create a new page for Namita Thapar or should i edit the page which is current existing, if yes kindly assist to remove the error in current page or path forward for the same. Joydbasu (talk) 07:39, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Very well. Thank you. Apologies on being incorrect with the gender. Please proceed as I describe in the paragraph above. Wikipedia has articles, not "wiki pages". To merit an article, she will need to be shown to meet the special Wikipedia definition of a notable person- and that will likely mean there will need to be coverage of her beyond her current position. 331dot (talk) 07:35, 8 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Namita Thapar moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Namita Thapar, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) In addition, there appears to be a WP:UPE or WP:COI conflict. Your explanations above do not satisfy the obvious UPE/COI concerns. Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, and have addressed the UPE/COI issue, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. As per WP policy, please do not move into mainspace yourself. Onel5969 TT me 14:44, 22 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
