June 2014[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Vintage clothing may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • online auctions (e.g. [[eBay]]), multi-vendor sites (e.g. [[Etsy]]), online vintage clothing shops (e.g. [http://womensclothesonline.com Vintage Womens Clothing Store] <ref>[http://

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 06:30, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Vintage clothing. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. Thank you. bonadea contributions talk 07:52, 7 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Vintage clothing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. bonadea contributions talk 08:11, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

External links[edit]

Hi Jrindianbill, I saw your question about external links. Did you have the time to read the information linked above? If not, please look at this summary of the kinds of external links that are not appropriate in Wikipedia articles. womansclothesonline.com is clearly inappropriate, as per points 1, 4, 5 and 13 of that list. Please do not add any more links to that website. It does not matter whether you own the site, have been paid by the owner to add links, or simply enjoy shopping there; Wikipedia is not the place for that link. Thank you! --bonadea contributions talk 09:41, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
