Advice: Take some care...[edit]

...when editing in transgender topics, as some deadnames can be less dead than others. I'm a fan of Alexander James Adams and have been following him and his article(s) since before the transition--as he was very much notable as Heather Alexander, one shouldn't be too quick to remove references to the previous identity, though there was nothing egregiously wrong with your edit there as such. Also, more anecdotally, unlike some of my trans friends, he doesn't reject the previous identity completely--he refers to Heather in the third person and still signs her albums as her ("The fae have gifted me with the ability to forge her signature."). Thanks for listening, and happy editing. --Finngall talk 16:47, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
