Hi there Jurassosaurus. Thanks for your comments on Talk:Cold-blooded. Unfortunately I am not familiar with the terms bradymetabolism and tachymetabolism and could not find them in a dictionary or wikipedia, although a quick web search brought me some results. I am only around a first-year tertiary educated biology student, and so am not familiar with what would be deemed to be good conventions at present. If you had time, it would be great if you could add these two terms to the existing pages at least, at Cold-blooded and Warm-blooded.

Thanks!

PS. excellent work with your contributions so far. If you need any help, or have any comments, feel free to post on my talk page... --postglock 13:29, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

  • No problems. I wasn't sure how for long you had been on wikipedia. I had had a look at your contributions, and they were of very good quality, both in content and structure, and so I thought you may have been here previously under another user name... I have only been here for a few months myself, and I didn't want to sound patronising to someone that may have been here longer! :) (That's a compliment!) --postglock 07:43, 24 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Megalania[edit]

That's cool - I just get suspicious when a prehistoric animal suddenly increases in size. J. Spencer (talk) 16:33, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

  • Understandable; especially given how big that jump is. I would have caught it earlier, but I initially just went back to an earlier edit thinking that was the correct weight. I only realized the error yesterday when I was re-reading parts of the book. Jura (talk) 17:30, 8 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for December 29[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Monitor lizard, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Extant. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Crocs[edit]

Hi, just to let you know I reverted one of your edits. The job of the lead in a major article like this is to provide readers with a brief overview in around four paragraphs of the content of the article, not an easy thing to write, but essential. It isn't just a quick introduction, it's the view of the whole thing for readers who don't want to read everything, or who want to know their way around in a general way before going further. This, anyway, is the view of the people at FAC, who ought to know, and I think it's a good general guide to writing nearly anything. Hope that's fine with you. All the best, and Happy New Year, Chiswick Chap (talk) 20:12, 29 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]
