Hello there! I'm not familiar with Amherst's digital images collection, but I have passed on your request to someone I know at the college library who might be able to help. Thanks a lot. I am not familiar with that collection either and don't know whether anybody enrolled at Amherst has access or not. Please let me know if you or her/him has any questions on the images or licensing/copyright. As I wrote, there is no issue with licensing since the images are reproductions of an old two dimensional piece of art and as such themselves public domain ([1]). I'd happily do the hard work of uploading them to wikimedia commons if you can put them somewhere where they can be reached (e.g. at dropbox) or sent me by email. bamse (talk) 23:02, 18 December 2011 (UTC)
