Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Notability of Society for Shamanic Practitioners

A tag has been placed on Society for Shamanic Practitioners requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Of course. Thanks for asking. There are a couple of problems, but nothing which can't be overcome. Most of the text resolved back to a Myspace page which in turn may be a violation of copyright even if it's your page...more on that in a moment. The other problem was the overly promotional tone; it came off as a so-called "blatant ad." Going back, even if the Myspace page is yours, you'd have to release it to this site's license over there on the Myspae page, effectively voiding any copyright you have. The best thing to do is to rewrite it in a user subpage here: User:Karenfurr/Society for Shamanic Practitioners. Feel free to use the Myspace entry and any other third-party references as sources of info, but just make sure that the end result here is in your own words. This protects your original implied copyright and still allows an article to be created here. When you're done with the subpage, simply paste the contents back to Society for Shamanic Practitioners.
