Fair use rationale for Image:R-meani.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:R-meani.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Hi. I don't understand why you nominated Image:Mirza Shafi Vazeh.jpg for Speedy Deletion. If you click on his article, this person lived in 1794-1852, so copyrights have long expired. I see you are a new user, so mistakes are understandable, but in the future, please do some background check before nominating images for deletion. Thanks. Zondi 20:31, 1 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

English Names for the Sultans of Rum[edit]

Will you help me restore Kayqubad II? I am having some trouble doing that. Thanks. Aramgar 20:20, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please revert yourself on all the articles you renamed. There is no consensus about using non-English but Latin characters. You moved the articles unilaterally. We can reach a consensus on the Wikiproject Turkey page. In the absence of a common English name, which is the case for most of the city articles you moved, we should use the local name. DenizTC 01:19, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
The thing is Turks use Latin alphabet, a modified one, just like Germans and many other Latin alphabet using country citizens do. There is no rule against the usage of them, and it is also advised to use the local names on other Wikipedia sites about naming conflicts. So please revert yourself. DenizTC 22:38, 13 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Apparently you are not going to do that, so I will go ahead and do the reverts soon. DenizTC 22:47, 21 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tendentious editing at Ice age[edit]

Please be aware that the three-revert rule is a hard limit, not a right. Remedies may be instituted for violating the spirit as well as the letter of the three-revert rule. Examples include performing a fourth revert just outside the 24-hour window or repeatedly inserting the same controversial material over a period of days. Source citation for the role of the pan-Turkic movements[edit]

You gave a citation of "In God's Name: Genocide and Religion in the Twentieth Century" as a source for a sentence about the role of the pan-Turkic movements in the revolutionary wars in Russia and the Armenian Genocide. Does this publication really discuss the role of the pan-Turkic movements in these events? Could you give me the title of the relevant contribution and the name of the author?  --Lambiam 22:15, 29 August 2007 (UTC) Never mind -- I found it: Ronald Grigor Suny's piece.  --Lambiam 22:21, 29 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Raffi Kojian, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.armeniapedia.org/index.php?title=Raffi_Kojian. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 08:59, 2 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Joe Ariyan has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Sole source is dead. I found literally 3 search results when I search for results outside of WP and from 2012 to 2017. Failed candidate for low profile office. Created by a puppet. Fails NPOL, POLOUTCOMES, NBIO, and GNG.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
