Hi again, sure, I'd be glad to help. Your English is much better than my Dutch/Flemish! The photosynthesis article should give a general overview of photosynthesis in plants and microorganisms. I'm not sure exactly how you might want to structure it but take a look at Wikipedia:Writing better articles, for details and oxidative phosphorylation for a similar topic in better shape. Yes, great plant, the articles are so bad it's hard to even imagine where to start. Let me know if you need your English checked or whatever. Also good title changes. I'll be glad to help. Hi, Tim. That's embarrassing to know that that article is accessed that often, it really needs a lot of work. Your help should be absolutely great!
But you are right, it's really hard to even imagine where to begin. Not only the article photosynthesis is really bad, but almost all the articles in the photosynthesis category.
It might be a good idea to set Photosynthesis as collaboration of the month project?
Or at least to make a page where we can discuss what should be done in this articles.

Maybe we could/should start with basic outlines on the topics, and write from there. I think the disorganization level was so high, or so I found when I looked at the articles, that they can't be "edited," but rather must be completely rewritten. Because of my student load I can't rewrite an entire, article, but I've agreed to help with referencing a small group of articles, and I can edit and write bits and reference on these, if we could get a solid outline going. Title: the title should correctly be Light-dependent reactions, not Light-dependent reaction, since it is not about a single reaction. I know that Wikipedia has a thing about plural article titles, but, in this case, it is always about the reactions, and the title should be that, with a redirect from the singular. I bring this up here, instead of on the article talk page, because I don't see the issue discussed there, and it's not really an issue. --KP Botany (talk) 23:06, 11 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Photosynthesis[edit]

Hi there, I've removed this addition since carbon is not unique in forming chains (see silicates for example), oils are not carbohydrates, and ATP is an example of an controllable store of energy that does not use C-C bonds to store energy. Tim Vickers (talk) 16:34, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
