Hi, I have some notes on your article, Ancient Aesthetics.

• This article has issues with sourcing. Some of the sources you use include Wikipedia, which cannot be used to source itself. Another website, philosophybasics.com, would be seen as a self-published source at best since it's run by one person, who has stated that he has no official training in philosophy and that he heavily used Wikipedia as a source, so it wouldn't be seen as reliable. You also used the book Which Aesthetics" Do You Mean? Ten Definitions, which was published through an indie publisher with no true information about their editorial or verification process. This specific source wouldn't be seen as self-published per se, but unless we can show where it's routinely cited as a reliable source by authoritative reliable sources like scholarly or academic journals or texts, it wouldn't be seen as reliable. Keep in mind, not every published source is a reliable source - there's a lot of factors that go into what makes a source reliable.

• This looks like it has some original research in it, meaning that it contains connections, theories, or other research that you created based on sourcing that doesn't explicitly back up the claims. For example, what separates ancient aesthetics from regular aesthetics? Why are the ancient Greeks and Egyptians highlighted over say, Vikings, Europeans, or Native Americans in antiquity?

The sourcing needs to very specifically state something for it to be in the article - we can only summarize what others have written. Something to keep in mind is that aesthetics essentially studies the object of beauty (its nature, creation, appreciation of), so what you want are sources that discuss the "why" of the beauty in ancient civilizations. Unless they discuss the "why", using a source that covers say, only the basic history of what a culture wore without going into the "why" from a philosophical viewpoint would be seen as original research since you're drawing conclusions that weren't in the actual source.

• There's a big concern here as to whether or not this is redundant to the existing article on aesthetics. The first two sections discuss aesthetics in general and what is defined as an ancient civilization, but not really a whole lot about the specific history of the study of the aesthetics of ancient civilizations (ie, how the study of this area began and grew, prominent people in the field) and so on. There are two sections about two specific cultures, but none about others. This needs more to it to really show how it would warrant its own article along the lines of Aesthetics of music or Aesthetics of nature. Something that would be good to research would be something like say, how the perception of aesthetics in ancient cultures have changed over time - in other words, has there been scholarly discussion over what makes one culture's aesthetics better than another's as it pertains to ancient civilizations? It may be better to summarize this more and merge it into the main article.
