Common mistakes or beliefs about promotional editing center on the assumption that promotional editing only applies to promotion for commercial gain. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia-- subjects must meet notability guidelines with reliable sources that are unconnected with the subject and providing verifiable information. That generally means someone unconnected with the subject needs to have written a great deal about the subject. If you are an unpaid volunteer, then you do not have to declare as a paid editor. You can ignore those messages. However, you still have a conflict of interest since you are involved with the organization. As such, you are not an impartial third party.

This probably renders you incapable of being an objective judge of this organization's notability. Topics must be deemed notable to be considered worthy of inclusion - mere existence isn't enough. Your organization needs to meet the notability criteria for companies and organizations to be included. This requires already having significant coverage from multiple reliable and independent sources. Note that Wikipedia makes no distinction between for-profit businesses and non-profit organizations (see Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations). --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 05:58, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
