@DrStrauss:

Maglev train levitated by permanent magnet[edit]

@DrStrauss: Dear DrStraus

Indurtack technology is distinctively different from the existing ones that one can find on the pages of Wiki.The two substantial differences are: 1/ Permanent magnets provide stable repulsive levitation (EDS) (the only working system ever built) 2/ Neither the levitation nor the car needs on-board electric power. (No other levitation has this solution

Maglev refers to many technologies using superconductors,(EDS) or electromagnets (EMS) but all have substantial on-board electric power either to levitate or propel the vehicle.

Under the title Indutrac there is a very short article written before the defacto development of the technology. This article intends to give an in-dept info. and analysis about the reality of building testing and operating it. Editing the existing short one page article with 16 pages may not yield a coherent presentation.

The tile Maglev train levitated by permanent magnet may be changed?

Yours truly KehrerK

Jcc, thanks for the ping. KehrerK, I would say that if Indurtac system is different from Maglev in any significant way then you need to show it with sources! If these sources are countless then please express this in your referencing. You may also find WP:REFB useful for understanding the standard system of citations on Wikipedia. I have a reference in my writing to indutrack

[4] Indutrack http://www.askmar.com/Inductrack/2005-9-30%20Discrete%20Track%20Electrodynamic%20II.pdf [5] Idutrack https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inductrack Both are half a page only

Electrodynamic Magnetic Suspension - EDS Maglev - is a newly developed system that uses permanent magnets for both, to levitate and propel the transportation vehicle.

Permanent magnets are able to operate without the closed loop feedback control that burdens the electromagnetic suspension (EMS levitation) technologies. I have 14 references were references exist but the search could not find any stem that would match the search criteria except my references number four and five.

Thanks for calling my attention I will check my reference format.

I had a few emails but I never find any written remarks except Yours

I got messages from reviewers, but never a single sentence. I got a reviewer whose review was on the different articles.[reply]

Arbitrary break[edit]

Hi KehrerK. I've read your above post but it doesn't really make that much sense to me. Could you please clearly explain how the subject of your article differs from what has already been written in the Maglev article? No-one 'owns' an article- anyone can edit and add to it, and I think, from what I can see that you may be better off putting your content into the Maglev or Inductrack articles. If this is not the case, please explain how what you are writing about is different. Thanks, jcc (tea and biscuits) 13:36, 12 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@DrStrauss: please clearly explain how the subject of your article differs from what has already been written in the Maglev article? 1/Permanent magnets levitation does not need electrical energy, all the other maglev system does. 2/ able to operate without the closed loop feedback control that burdens ALL the electromagnetic suspension (EMS or EDS levitation) technologies. 3/ the search could not find any system that would match the search criteria except my references number (four and five) in the article. 4/ one article has one sentence about permanent magnet (indutrack)levitation https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maglev#San_Diego.2C_California_USA 5/ the other has about half a page written well before the real system was built therefore telling nothing of the system built how it designed and what are the real measured and proven characteristics of the full size system https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inductrack and http://electromagnetictravel.wikispaces.com/Indutrack saying the full scale version have never been tested. This article tells the test results. 6/ the Wikipedia article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maglev#Electrodynamic_suspension_.28EDS.29 contents does not list the US full scale indutrack system except under test track tells 1 or sentences. Regards KehrerK kehrer 21:43, 13 July 2017 (UTC)

Hi Kehrer, thanks for your response, I accept that they are different. What you need to do now is to cleanup the article you have written, properly formatting references and removing the 'example images', and add the corresponding images to the placeholder text e.g. 'Limino line in Nagoya Japan with EMS suspension'. You might find it useful to try our new editor, Visual Editor, accessible via this link. This will make formatting references very easy. I've tried to help by formatting the headings, but if you need any help, let me know. jcc (tea and biscuits) 20:46, 16 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

misplaced email about Maglev-related draft[edit]

You included me in an email, but it took a while to figure out what you were talking about and I'm still a bit mystified as to why you sent it to me.

Regarding your Draft:Transportation using permanent magnet levitation, I gave it a brief reading and agree with the other reviewers that it is in no way suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. I also agree that the best way to go forward is to find ways to add information to the Maglev page in places where you have good sources about methods that are not covered already. For you to create a whole new article about this aspect of the technology does not seem to be a realistic proposition. — jmcgnh(talk) (contribs) 17:49, 25 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Problem with your custom signature[edit]

You have a custom signature set in your account preferences. A change to Wikipedia's software has made your current custom signature incompatible with the software.

The problem: Your preferences are set to interpret your custom signature as wikitext. However, your current custom signature does not contain any wikitext.

The solutions: You can reset your signature to the default, or you can fix your signature.

Solution 1: Reset your signature to the default:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Remove anything in the Signature: text box. (It might already be empty.)
  4. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page. (The red "Restore all default settings" button will reset all of your preference settings, not just the signature.)
Solution 2: Fix your custom signature:
  1. Find the signature section in the first tab of Special:Preferences.
  2. Uncheck the box (☑︎→☐) that says "Treat the above as wiki markup."
  3. Click the blue "Save" button at the bottom of the page.

More information about custom signatures is available at Wikipedia:Signatures#Customizing how everyone sees your signature. If you have followed these instructions and still want help, please leave a message at Wikipedia talk:Signatures. 19:04, 3 September 2020 (UTC)
