Brothers Keeper are mention many places and are in many language, As you mention some programs fromsome producer I think it is wrong not to treat them all equal, so I do not see the idea of delteting some links and not all.

May be i should be a more update global page for BK and all programs/Language are pointion to that side.

The mainpage in BK is in USA and the link are as follow http://www.bkwin.org/

I am the translator and sponor in Norway anv we have in Scandinavian a good relationship and all the Scandivaian countries (and Nordic) are using the program and so are several other countries.

So basicly I do not see the reason why deleting my added new links

WikiProject Yorkshire Newsletter

Hey, I recently joined WikiProject Yorkshire. Is there a way for me to get the newsletter delivered to a user talk subpage? I am getting a newsletter for WikiProject VideoGames delivered in this way to User talk:Neutralle/WIKIPrjVGNews. Neutralle 11:12, 26 March 2009 (UTC)

Hi, sorry for delay in replying, I have been out of action most of the week as I lost a disk so not been able to access. I am not sure if it is possible to get the newsletter delivered to a sub-directory though I will ask the bot operator which is different to the Video Games project. You can always look at previous issues from the newsletter list. Keith D (talk) 20:18, 27 March 2009 (UTC)
Apparently it is possible but cannot see how, so have requested instructions. Keith D (talk) 13:57, 28 March 2009 (UTC)
Reply from bot owner - if the user creates the user subpage (with any random text) and lists that page on the bottom of the members table, I will include it in the deliveries. Please let me know when you have added this so I can make the script familiarize with the added page. Keith D (talk) 18:35, 29 March 2009 (UTC)
How do I add my user subpage to the table? I am currently listed with: "Neutralle (talk · contribs)" Neutralle 10:50, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
I struggled to understand that as well. I think that you have to add an extra line with the sub-page as the user name, though I cannot see if it has to be in the table or below it. I think if you do that then I can let the bot owner know and he can have a look and adjust as appropriate. I would guess that once set up then you will need to put an asterisk at front of your user-name line to stop the bot delivering there as well. If you get it set up today then it will get tested tomorrow when delivery is due. Keith D (talk) 10:59, 31 March 2009 (UTC)
I have added an entry for you as I think it should be to give them a chance of getting it for tomorrow. Keith D (talk) 12:21, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

Wikiproject Lincolnshire Barnstar

I've created a Barnstar for the wikiproject but don't know how I can have it verified as the official Barnstar, if you could help I would be grateful. This is my barnstar design:

Hi, I think that you need to put it on Wikipedia:Awards by WikiProject, see Wikipedia:WikiProject Wikipedia Awards which says you can just add it or propose it on their talk page and then someone will help you with the task. Hope this helps. Keith D (talk) 20:24, 27 March 2009 (UTC)

Architecture of Leeds

Hi Keith,

I have been waiting for someone to get back to me to say that whey want me to look at the article again. I have been a little busy with family stuff recently, however I will have a go at the article to improve it (if needed) in the next week or so. Seth Whales (talk) 19:30, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

I promise to have a look at the article again in the next week or so...I have certainly not forgotten about it. I am sure it will become a GA soon. Best wishes. Seth Whales (talk) 19:40, 30 March 2009 (UTC)

Re:Script error

Hi Keith, I don't have a solution for the problem. You can try these:

  1. Try setting a lower limit on the number of articles per page. Currently it is set to 6000.
  2. Update the Python Wikipedia framework on your machine.

Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 02:32, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

Glad to hear it worked. You can set it to 5000 and see if it works. Regards, Ganeshk (talk) 22:03, 5 April 2009 (UTC)

References

I have been adding in-line references to Ilmington and I have found that 2 different statments came from the same website. I put <ref></ref> at the end of the sentance and then copyed and pasted the URL into the gap. Then when I saved the page and looked at the references down the bottom I noticed that they had come up as 2 different refernces ( at the time number 7 and 8). How do you make it so it appears that there is a and b (like on Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew). De Mattia (talk) 23:13, 10 April 2009 (UTC)

You can add the same reference by making it named use <ref name="SomeName">Reference detail</ref> for the first occurrence of the reference then whenever you want to refer to it in the same page just put <ref name="SomeName"/> rather than repeating the detail. Just make sure that the name you use is unique on the page so it does not get confused about the detail required. Keith D (talk) 17:45, 19 April 2009 (UTC)
Mmmmm. Thanks for the help. The problem is that what you have told me is very helpful but also a bit confusing. Could you please do the editing on the page so that I can have a worked example to go off next time. De Mattia (talk) 03:18, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Don't worry about editing it because I changed one of the refs to another web page. But go to the talk page of Ilmington and look at the Improvment Suggestions heading i put there. is there anything i could put there so it automates it. for example , something that would say how many red links there are on the page and it automatically changes when one of the pages is created. Also, do you agree with the 'C' rating I added. i did it because it is a fair length, decent quality and good in-line citations or does more stuff need to be added. Thanks. De Mattia (talk) 04:44, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Hi, I have had a look and done a couple of tweaks to it and would agree with the C rating at the moment. Things that need finding out are the dial code & Westminster constituency for the infobox. Is it a civil parish, if not which one is it part of? Generally the lead needs bulking up a bit. Also the section on interesting things needs to be removed and the items worked into the rest of the article as it is classed as trivia by some.
On the references take a look at Roos for an example, the census reference there shows what to do and it is easy to type!
On the red-links counter, I have no idea on that one, may be you could ask at the village pump to see if anyone knows. Keith D (talk) 09:15, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
Thank-you. I have looked at the Roos page and copyed pasted onto the Ilmington page and then changed the information to what it should have been. I have put a to-do list on the talk page. If you can think of anything else to add then please do. Another thing, on the talk pages of some other articles it says what the quality rating is, and then underneath it has checking for 'B-class quality' if it was 'C-class' for example. How do you put that on there. On the Military History Wikiproject of the talk page of Roald Dahl. If I think of any other questions I'll ask you. Thank you again. De Mattia (talk) 22:49, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
The military history template is a hand crafted one for the check list they have. Checklists can be added to the templates made using {{WPBannerMeta}} as they are slowly converting all of the projects over to this. The relevant parameter is B_CHECKLIST and allows you to assess against the 6 criteria if it fails then it is given C-class. I have not used this on any projects I am involved with and unsure exactly how it operates. Take a look at the documentation with {{WPBannerMeta}} but I could not work out what to do from a quick scan, there is no example of that function. Keith D (talk) 23:06, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
So how do I get the checklist on the Ilmington page. Do I just put it somewhere on the talk page or does the template for the Wikiproject box need to be changed. De Mattia (talk) 23:52, 23 April 2009 (UTC)
I think that you have to set the B_CHECKLIST in the {{WikiProject Warwickshire}} template to Yes. Then on each article you put the responses to the 6 criteria in the call to the template, like {{WikiProject Warwickshire|class=|importance=|B1=Yes|B2=No|B3=|B4=|B5=|B6=}}. Take a look at {{WikiProject Germany}} which has implemented it. Keith D (talk) 00:23, 24 April 2009 (UTC)
I have now done that and you can see by going to the Ilmington talk page. But now I don't get what you have to type in for it to say 'checked/not checked' on the wikiproject box. Please look and tell me. Also, would it be possible to put a list on the Ilmington page which links to other 'Ilmington' pages like the Downs, the football club, the playing field etc. De Mattia (talk) 04:13, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

(Outdent) I have fixed it up, sorry should have been lower-case in the template. I have also removed b6 which is the accessibility one for the moment as that one is rather difficult to judge. Now if you set class to B it will display as C until all 5 are set to yes.

The football club article will probably get deleted as it is not notable enough for its own article, I think the criteria is above level-12 of the football league pyramid in the UK for an article or have played in the later rounds of the FA-cup. Unsure what you mean by links, you can just put a wikilink in the article or of not mentioned list the links in a See also section. Keith D (talk) 13:10, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Alright. If the FC article isn't important then, can I create an article called 'Amendities of Ilmington' and put the Fc as a heading and then describe the other things in the paragaph on the Ilmington page in more depth. Then i would would put a Main article:Amendities of ilmington on the Ilmington page. De Mattia (talk) 06:27, 25 April 2009 (UTC)
You can add the information to the Ilmington page in a section on Sport or Amenities though obviously it would not be in as much depth as its own article. It is probably not at the stage where you need to create sub-articles as yet. Keith D (talk) 10:54, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Knutsfood

I've been trying to add www.knutsfood.co.uk onto the Knutsford Wiki page but it keeps getting removed. The site is run along the same principles as virtual knutsford and KnutsfordTimes so it would be good if you could include us in the listings. Cheers Patrick —Preceding unsigned comment added by Knutsfood (talkcontribs) 16:51, 14 April 2009 (UTC)

Looks like it contains rather a lot of advertising material and not really suitable under our external links policy. Keith D (talk) 17:55, 19 April 2009 (UTC)

Rollback request

Hi Keith,
Hope you enjoyed your vacation.
I wonder if you'd be so kind as to grant me rollback privileges? I'm not entirely sure what the advantage would be over using Twinkle, but I figure there's only one way to find out. I promise to use it for good not for evil, and I'm fully aware that it should only be used to deal with blatantly unconstructive edits and that an explanatory edit summary should always be provided in all other cases.
Cheers, BEVE (talk)  08:54, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks, I had a good holiday, but did not enjoy the trip back as I was listening to the Radio Humberside commentary of the city match on the car radio. I have added you as rollbacker so you should be able to try it out. I probably overuse it especially when things are running slowly. Keith D (talk) 09:17, 20 April 2009 (UTC)
Thank you. This was a rare occasion I didn't watch or listen to the match (as I was on holiday too), just the empty feeling at five o' clock when I checked the result. Oh well, I'll be there to cheer us on against Liverpool! BEVE (talk)  09:28, 20 April 2009 (UTC)

Delinking

OK. Thanks. I was just trying to help, but I'll stop until the injunction produces a permanent judgment - one way or the other. Rms125a@hotmail.com (talk) 22:35, 21 April 2009 (UTC)

stubbing

Thanks for stepping in ... hasn't had any effect! See this edit. A stubbornly low-level-disruptive editor. PamD (talk) 07:58, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Looks like she deleted the comments. Cannot think why she is on my watchlist must have had some previous dealings with her. Keith D (talk) 13:28, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Malton page

Please could you have a word with this user - GlassCobra (talk) GlassCobra - who keeps randomly deleting what appears to be perfectly valid information from the malton page. I have no personal interest in it, other than living in Malton, and nor do I edit pages, but I have noticed the education section keeps vanishing and today various links were there one minute and gone the next. Is there some kind of edit war going on? 85.210.109.127 (talk) 18:37, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

I have requested clarification of why the info has been removed. The user is an admin so may have a valid reason for its removal which I am not aware of. I have been away for a week and am out of touch with what has been happening to the article. The external links are probably quite valid to be removed but the Education section looks OK on face value, though unreferenced, especially as Malton & Norton are so closely related. Keith D (talk) 19:13, 23 April 2009 (UTC)

Back - but oh so rusty!

Yes, I'm back to serious editing again, but amazingly slow and rusty. I spotted the Hornsea Pottery article and being a big fan of their wares in the "Swinging Sixties" just couldn't let it go! Unfortunately, I sent most of the pottery to a charity shop a while back, so I'll have to go there to photograph it if I need to.--Harkey (talk) 18:16, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

Yes, I noticed the KUH article had been peer reviewed. I'll certainly take another look. I didn't like to "poke my nose in" when it appeared that someone else was promoting it. Thanks for the Welcome Back, by the way.--Harkey (talk) 18:48, 24 April 2009 (UTC)

I had a go at expanding the lead at KUH and did a bit of copy editing. I wasn't sure about adding links in the lead section, it used to be frowned on but this appears to be more relaxed now. Also,I'm not sure the tramways section is in the right place. I can see why it has been made prominent, to make a link. Could it go in transport or just be a sentence in the history section?

You seem to have covered a lot of the other points in the peer review. Let me know what still needs attention, please.--Harkey (talk) 10:09, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

The tramways was added, probably after the review, by another user and I could not think what to do with it. The main things left from the peer review are the items that I raised to get the review under way. The 2 dead references, the unreferenced bits and the sport expansion, though I did add the clipper race last night may be could expand on that with mention of Hull & Humber yacht that entered last race & is in this race again. There is the bit in demography about the Chinese though I could not find a reason for it been popular to them you may turn-up something. Finally the sound file suggestion but I cannot see us doing that one easily.
I am not sure on the status of references in the lead as the lead is supposed to be a summary of the article and contain nothing that is not in the rest of the article. The reference should really go with the appearance of the fact in the rest of the article and probably be removed from the lead but if the reference is in both places then it can easily be removed if the reviewer decides they do not like it in the lead. Keith D (talk) 11:28, 27 April 2009 (UTC)
On schools, after a prod, I recently loaded the list that I started last year into my sandbox. I was unsure what to do about location, whether to use the localities or the wards for the schools but that would need researching to find out what they are. If you think it is useful at this stage then we could put a {{main}} in to the Hull article and move the list to article space. Keith D (talk) 11:37, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

I think the schools list would be a very useful additional link to the Hull article. Would postcodes be any use for locations? Sat Nav friendly etc. My understanding of the Chinese Community in Hull was the link to seafarers from China in the early 20th century (as in the ports Liverpool, Cardiff, London etc.)[1] Though how we could phrase this, as the reference is not specifically about Hull?--Harkey (talk) 15:21, 27 April 2009 (UTC)

Your anti-vandalism work

Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made: You may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template messages/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit was inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. -- Smjg (talk) 21:48, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks and yes I already know about the templates and use them frequently, though I have stopped warning users for a single edit as it seems pointless when it is the only one from an IP address. Keith D (talk) 21:59, 25 April 2009 (UTC)

Hull

I've just spent two happy hours!! looking for a replacement for the "dead link" in the economy section. There does not seem to be any reliable data after 2006. In view of the current economic situation and the difficulties of making forecasts I can't see that any data will be published in the near future so perhaps it would be better to delete the sentence and its ref link.

As for Sport, I'm a real duffer at that, but I'll have another try later.--Harkey (talk) 17:09, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for trying. It is a pity that the Hull Daily Mail removes its articles after about 6 months so is not really much use as a source unless you can reference the paper version. May be worth looking at other FA or GA articles to see what they give in their economy section.
The other reference with problems is the lonely planet one which has moved but the replacement page does not support the text. I did remove the Hullite unreferenced text and do some wikilinking in the text you added to the lead. I think it must be getting near to a second GA attempt as most of the peer review comments have been done. Keith D (talk) 17:25, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
Just added a couple of refs to attempt a replacement for the blitzed bomb site car parks. Could possibly change that sentence to fit the refs.--Harkey (talk) 17:46, 29 April 2009 (UTC)
May be better to go with what the references say rather than fit a reference to the existing text if it does not go. Keith D (talk) 17:49, 29 April 2009 (UTC)

Possibly we could remove the sentence that the dead link refers to and change the Trinity Market sentence to something else?--Harkey (talk) 14:37, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

I found a ref for Trinity Market. It dates from 2003 but is on a City Council website so probably fairly reliable.--Harkey (talk) 15:09, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
I may have spotted that one, but from the sentence I was looking for something current. May be we have to change the sentence a bit and use that reference. Looks like we will have to remove the bit the dead reference refers to but leaves it a bit thin which is one of the criticisms from the last GA. Keith D (talk) 16:30, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
As you are into creating parks may be East Park in Hull may be a good one to complement the Thomas Ferens GA nomination. It has recently undergone a make over see here. Keith D (talk) 16:44, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
I've put some stuff in my sandbox ready to start East Park.--Harkey (talk) 18:48, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

(reset indent)I think the Kingston upon Hull article is ready to go to GA. We may get a few faults pointed out (again!!), but it's worth another try.--Harkey (talk) 18:48, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

I think it depends on who reviews it but if we do not try will not know how close we are, I think the peer review picked up some things that was worthwhile. If we put it in now then maybe it will get done while I am here. Keith D (talk) 21:34, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
I have bitten the bullet and put in a nomination. Keith D (talk) 00:33, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Good. Now we just have to watch out for the IP numpties?--Harkey (talk) 08:12, 16 May 2009 (UTC)
Hopefully it will be reviewed when I am here! It may need some update on the football front as it looks like Hull City will be relegated unless they can get some points from the final 2 games of the season. Keith D (talk) 10:57, 16 May 2009 (UTC)

Hi Keith, I hope you had a good break.I had a go at Peasholm Park from the WPYorks Todo list. I managed the main points, I think, but it now needs your Magic touch etc.!! I think there are some Naval Battle pictures on Geograph somewhere if you have spare moment!!--Harkey (talk) 12:41, 5 May 2009 (UTC)

Ok, no probs. Question is, which licensing do they come under?

Hi, looks like you have sorted that out, I have done a couple of minor tweaks. The location is confusing and I cannot work out what is meant by the bit around the A165 road. I probably have some photos of the pagoda / waterfall somewhere is you are interested. Keith D (talk) 19:07, 9 May 2009 (UTC)
Thanks very much for that. Yes please, more photos would add a bit of oomph to the article. As for the A 165, I was trying to describe the park boundaries in a way that could be verified and got lost (as I often do in Scarborough!).I'll have a go at clearing it up when I get back.--Harkey (talk) 07:43, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
I have created a category on Commons for Peasholm Park images and moved the 2 images already loaded there. I have also added a {{Commonscat}} link to the article to pick them up. I have loaded the images my images (I have 2 others but they have people on them and so not really usable unless edited) and placed them in the same category. You can choose what to use for the article. Keith D (talk) 20:02, 13 May 2009 (UTC)

Is this a blog

There appears to be a blog or spam on Talk:Warwick Medical School. Should it be removed from the talk page? My inclination is to remove this anecdotal blog. Snowman (talk) 14:06, 7 May 2009 (UTC)

I agree, I have removed the comments even though they have been there for a couple of years. Keith D (talk) 19:10, 9 May 2009 (UTC)

Coventry Canal

Recently added and re-added external link to Coventry Canal article. Also, others added by same user. It is spam - adverts on site, and not particularly informative about the article. Snowman (talk) 22:15, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Not sure on that one as it looks OK on first view and it does give a view of the basin. I would be inclined to leave it but keep an eye on some of the other pages to see if the links get removed from them. By the way on the article I do not think it should be a B-class as there are no references and the layout needs looking at to stop the large white space near the route diagram. Keith D (talk) 22:29, 12 May 2009 (UTC)

Hello

Hello Keith D/Archive 12. It seem that you have reverted my edits on Tesco, Asda, and Sainsbury's. They may not require flagicons, but they do require a UK link - it is the sovereign state. Dexter000 Hop, Skip 17:41, 15 May 2009 (UTC)

UK is also redundant, as England is a country and there is no need to qualify with UK, in line with normal policy. Keith D (talk) 21:36, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
