Hello,

Can you please delete 152 Regiment RLC so i can move 152 Logistic Regiment RLC there, following it's name change. Ref: Army.mod.uk

Thank you. Gavbadger (talk) 15:06, 4 October 2023 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) Gavbadger - as stated at the top of this page, Keith D is away until 17 October. I suggest you try another admin, or Wikipedia:Requested moves - Arjayay (talk) 15:21, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
No longer required. Thanks. Gavbadger (talk) 13:52, 8 October 2023 (UTC)

CS1 error on Selby Abbey

Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page Selby Abbey, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:

  • A "bare URL and missing title" error. References show this error when they do not have a title. Please edit the article to add the appropriate title parameter to the reference. (Fix | Ask for help)

Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 18:58, 23 October 2023 (UTC)

Selby Abbey

There was an edit war on Selby Abbey over an unsourced list of abbots, vicars, and organists who do not meet notability. Added by a self-admitted COI. Most of them now appears sourced, but notability... Do you think it should remain or the non-notable, unsourced removed? Seems like NOTDIRECTORY also would apply. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 19:13, 23 October 2023 (UTC)

I think in articles lists like this are useful and there is no point in every entry having an article as that would sometimes make the list incomplete. Lots of articles have lists where not every entry is notable, such as club manages. I often find NOTDIRECTORY gets used too often just to remove things that people do not like. Keith D (talk) 19:54, 23 October 2023 (UTC)
Thank you for your reply! I guess we'll leave it at that. Cheers Adakiko (talk) 20:24, 23 October 2023 (UTC)

Stephen Hammond

Hi there! In your recent edit to Stephen Hammond, your edit to tweak the dashes broke a comment in a reference. Was that a typo you made or a bug in the script that should be reported to Ohconfucius? Thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 17:27, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

@GoingBatty: It is a problem with the script, it is the first time I have created the problem, but have fixed numerous times. Unsure if Ohconfucius has knowledge of the problem. Keith D (talk) 17:36, 26 October 2023 (UTC)
OK, I'll report it to Ohconfucius - thanks! GoingBatty (talk) 18:09, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Keighley College navbox templates

Thanks for that - I carefully added the college to them both, but then forgot to add them to the article! I didn't plan to spend most of the day on this article, it just expanded, the way these things do! PamD 20:51, 26 October 2023 (UTC)

Arbitration

  • Eligible editors are invited to self-nominate themselves from 12 November 2023 until 21 November 2023 to stand in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections.
  • Xaosflux, RoySmith and Cyberpower678 have been appointed to the Electoral Commission for the 2023 Arbitration Committee Elections. BusterD is the reserve commissioner.
  • Following a motion, the contentious topic designation of Prem Rawat has been struck. Actions previously taken using this contentious topic designation are still in force.
  • Following several motions, multiple topic areas are no longer designated as a contentious topic. These contentious topic designations were from the Editor conduct in e-cigs articles, Liancourt Rocks, Longevity, Medicine, September 11 conspiracy theories, and Shakespeare authorship question cases.
  • Following a motion, remedies 3.1 (All related articles under 1RR whenever the dispute over naming is concerned), 6 (Stalemate resolution) and 30 (Administrative supervision) of the Macedonia 2 case have been rescinded.
  • Following a motion, remedy 6 (One-revert rule) of the The Troubles case has been amended.
  • An arbitration case named Industrial agriculture has been opened. Evidence submissions in this case close 8 November.

Article talk page rating

Hi @Keith D. In this edit you added a class parameter to the WikiProject Yorkshire template after a previous edit by me removed the parameter. But in my edit, I inserted "class=start" to the WPBS template, which added these three categories to the talk page: Start-Class Yorkshire articles, Mid-importance Yorkshire articles, WikiProject Yorkshire articles. Inserting that parameter into the WPBS template automatically adds all relevant WikiProject categories. Perhaps the tool you're using to identify instances where this WikiProject template lacks class parameters might need an update to identify the parameter in the WPBS. Regards, Nythar (💬-🍀) 19:04, 8 November 2023 (UTC)

I would rather have the rating left in the project banner. I am considering opting out if the removals continue and the class is not displayed on the project line. Keith D (talk) 19:11, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
I usually move the class parameter to the WPBS because it's a neater way to rate articles using User:Evad37/rater. If I leave the parameter in that specific template, the ratings' style would appear inconsistent in source code. Sorry about the trouble. Nythar (💬-🍀) 07:56, 9 November 2023 (UTC)

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:30, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

  • Eligible users are invited to vote on candidates for the Arbitration Committee until 23:59 December 11, 2023 (UTC). Candidate statements can be seen here.
