Good job[edit]

Hey Kemal,

Great work on the Karachays article. I enjoyed reading about their history. Would you be able to add copyright tags to Image:Mingi tay.jpg and Image:Kavkazdaislam.jpg? That way the images don't get deleted. Thanks. —Khoikhoi 17:56, 13 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Flag

Hey Khoikhoi,

Many thanks for your note. I'll try to provifde some information. By the way, i couldn't upload Karachays' national flag picture, can you help me?

Good job, it appears that you forgot about Image:Mingi tay.jpg, however. As for the flag, it looks like you uploaded it just fine. Here it is on my right. —Khoikhoi 17:08, 14 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No, no, Khoikhoi, I didn't forget about it. I gave a note under the picture. This one below. Is it enough? This photo from the www.elbrusoid.org and free of any restrictions. The Author of the photo is M. Chararov. See: http://www.elbrusoid.ru/cupermin/displayimage.php?album=2&pos=12

But any way, I can’t move the flag picture into the article. Could you be so kind to put it above the Elbrus picture or to some other suitable place. Thanks, Kemal

Ah, you should have added a copyright tag as well but I added one. As for the flag, how's this? With the addition of another image to the article, I think things are getting a bit crowed. If you want to add any more images it should be in a gallery format like at the bottom of the Hagia Sophia article. Hope that helped! —Khoikhoi 00:03, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,Khoikhoi! Many thanks for your help! It looks great! Yeah, yeah, I understand you, it’s a good idea to use Hagia Sophia article as an example. Thanks! By the way, it a pleasure to work with you!

No problem! Thanks a lot Kemal. —Khoikhoi 17:32, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Abou Ben Adhem,

First of all I would like to ask you to be quite polite in your suggestions and statements regarding the “probability” of the doctoral researches of the Turkist writers. Many thanks for that.

If you are not satisfied by the reference to the research of the Turkist writers, there is another one the most authoritative Russian historian Professor, Doctor E. P. Aleekseeva. She is also Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow). The fact that Karachays and Balkars are the linear descendants of Alans is mentioned in her book (in Russian) "Карачаевцы и балкарцы древний народ Кавказа", Москва, 1993 (“Karachays and Balkars – ancient Caucasian nations” 1993, Moscow). Electronic version of the monograph is available on-line at: http://real-alania.narod.ru/alanialand/history/page1.htm Best regards,

Kemal

Hi again. That comment blongs on his talk page, not his user page. I've therefore moved it to the correct location. See here: User talk:Abou Ben Adhem. —Khoikhoi 18:16, 16 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, hi Khoikhoi. many thanks. I see there are some crash of views here.

Unspecified source for Image:Gfdfgd.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Gfdfgd.jpg. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then you need to specify who owns the copyright, please. If you got it from a website, then a link to the website where it was taken from with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 05:53, 16 January 2007 (UTC).
