Nebraska Cornhuskers combination image

I'm in the process of converting the college football uniforms over to a new template and I'm removing the combination images since they're superfluous and would be too large with my new template (especially since many of them are too large even with the old template). Thus, I removed the image in question. --Kevin W. 03:13, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

No problem, but you'll probably save yourself and many others the trouble if you'd take a few seconds to attach a comment to your edits so we know what's going on and won't be as likely to interfere with your work. Thanks. Fjbfour (talk) 04:11, 4 December 2010 (UTC)
Sorry, it slipped my mind at the time. --Kevin W. 07:27, 4 December 2010 (UTC)

College Template Updates

I dunno, figured that'd make a good title.

Alright, so are we going to make a different template for each manufacturer? We've already got Nike, but I've noticed that it doesn't fit some teams properly– they seem to be using an older uni style. Of course, I don't think we should go much further into precision than separate templates... What do you think?

Oh, and since TCU is moving to the Big East, and I'm doing the Big East, I'll do them as well. Let's see, we've got USF, Louisville, UConn, Syracuse, and WVU done (or at least a rough version finished), that just leaves Pitt, Cincinnati, and Rutgers. (And TCU). -- Tgypwya (talk) 05:23, 30 November 2010 (UTC)

Well, there aren't many differences between the manufacturers' templates. The only significant differences I know of are the collar shape for Adidas (but then again, not every Adidas school has it) and the Adidas TechFit cut, which I can't find a good picture of at the moment. Once I've got a good shot of those, I should be able to put a template together. Overall, the differences between the manufacturers won't necessitate many changes, and certainly not enough to necessitate a different template altogether. For example, compare UCLA's collar to Arizona's. UCLA has the more square Adidas collar whereas Arizona's Nike collar comes to a point. It's really the only major difference between the two uniforms. Of course, that'll all go out the window when I can design a good enough version of the TechFit uniform. --Kevin W. 06:58, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
And just as quickly, it seems that my dreams of making an easy conversion to the TechFit template have been dashed. I've found an image that illustrates it well and it's going to require a significant update to the template. Oh well, c'est la vie. --Kevin W. 07:26, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
Okay, I emailed you the finished Big East templates, but I'm not sure you got them, so I'm posting here to double-check. --Tgypwya (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:33, 20 December 2010 (UTC).

Uniform Alert

Gators will wear these uniforms in the Outback Bowl. ~ Richmond96 tc 23:06, 15 December 2010 (UTC)

And Oregon, TCU, and Boise State are all also using new Pro Combat-esque designs. However, reliable sources say TCU will not be wearing the uniform Nike made for them, and that Oregon may want theirs modified, so I don't think any action should be taken, template-wise, until after the Outback Bowl. -- Tgypwya (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:06, 18 December 2010 (UTC).
Yep, I'm working on all of them. However, a closer look shows that Florida's is just their normal white-white road uniform on the Pro Combat template, so it won't be difficult to make. --Kevin W. 04:28, 24 December 2010 (UTC)

Older jerseys

Do you plan on added jerseys from past years, such as Florida Gators from 1971 or Texas Longhorns from 1969, if so I can help finding images for you to sketch/draw from. Comedian1018 (talk) 00:00, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Probably not, but it's not something I've ruled out. The problem with doing so is that there are so many teams to do and so many more uniforms to draw. If you do something like the NFL, there's only a limited number of teams, whereas for college football I'd have to do the past uniforms for 120+ teams. I am doing recent past uniforms, though, like Georgia Tech's 2008 uniforms and Oregon's from 2006 to 2008. Anything further than that will probably be too difficult. --Kevin W./TalkCFB uniforms/Talk 04:11, 26 December 2010 (UTC)
