Re:link removal[edit]

Hi and welcome to Wikipedia. Our guidelines for the use of external links in articles can be found at Wikipedia:External Links. The links that I removed from the Press release article had been added to a section titled 'See also'—these sections of Wikipedia articles are usually reserved for links to other Wikipedia articles; external links would usually be placed in a separate section titled 'External links'. In this case I chose not to just move the links to the correct place because I felt that they did not fall within the guidelines set out at Wikipedia:External Links; specifically in the section links normally to be avoided it is recommended not to link to blogs, and also that sites should only be linked if they provide a unique resource beyond what would be included in the article if it were written to the standard of a featured article.

If you want to improve the Press release article I recommend expanding the article with information sourced from reliable sources. I've appended the standard Wikipedia welcome message below as this includes useful links to Wikipedia policies and guidelines.—Jeremy (talk) 15:44, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
