I'm trying to make the infobox template, according to the UN standard humanitarian classification of population affected in the disaster. I need help, because I'm not sure how to make such a template. How to add the table with parameters. And with format. I'd like to make the infobox look more like standard wiki infobox, for instance https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hurricane_Katrina (infobox hurricane). Thanks

It's probably easiest to modify an existing template to suit your purposes. The most important issue right now seems to be that you hard-coded the parameters into the template: If I wanted to use, say, {{Infobox Humanitarian classification|dead=3 |missing=7 |displaced=17}}, that simply wouldn't work right now (even without the namespace issue - templates should be in the Template: namespace, but that's easy enough to fix once it's ready).
I'd say the code of rather simply-built Template:Infobox earthquake may be worth looking at. Regarding the layout, Template:Infobox#CSS styling explains the relevant parameters, but I'd be careful not to overdo it.
Templates are one of the more tricky topics within Wikipedia. I'd suggest gaining some more editing experience first, and to discuss with other users that might be interested in using this template. WP:WikiProject Disaster management may be a good place to find them. Huon (talk) 19:50, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Template:Infobox population of concern has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for discussion page. eh bien mon prince (talk) 00:06, 6 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Module[edit]

Please do not insert the module into Ita until you have found figures, for all nations concerned by Cyclone Ita and not just the Solomon Islands.Jason Rees (talk) 12:19, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

But that figures for the Cyclone Ita for ALL nations, with numbers from the article and verified number of fatalities. I don't put links, because it's calculation from the sources about Solomon Islands (52 000 affected and 9000 displaced, 23 dead) and PNG (62 000 affected and 1000 displaced), other countries don't have affected population. Please, check the sources.kianitsa(talk)
Hang on if you can not find details for other island nations (eg Australia/New Zealand), then i dont think we should have the module in the article. The fatalities are fine being included elsewhere while i suspect the other details may be trivial.Jason Rees (talk) 13:37, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
