January 2010[edit]

Found this information http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/acdc_fans_rally_for_band_to_play_their_hometown.html "all 3 youngs were born in scotland, and moved to aus where they met their other band members. Dave evans was welsh. bon scott was also a scottish ex-pat, from Kirriemuir, and met the youngs in a blues club and told them to get rid of evans. phil rudd is an aussie. cliff williams is english. johnson was born in the UK and now lives in the US with the rest of the band spread over there world".

stop your arguing, they are an anglo-aussie band. the 'dc master has spoken. POSTED: 01/12/2009 - 11:48 am / quote |

editors have locked the ACDC article opening page up so its pretty hard to participate. Please consider adding this information to the AC/DC editorial on ACDC nationality--kea 22:37, 20 January 2010 (UTC) in addition a simple google search using combinations on "ACDC nationality debate" highlights the debate remains very active with many credible references to the band being British/Australian.--kea 22:37, 20 January 2010 (UTC) I'll check to see whether the article catches up with the facts about ACDC nationality statements and if not come back at some point hopefully more skilled to edit the page myself. Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, talk pages are meant to be a record of a discussion; deleting or editing legitimate comments, as you did at Talk:AC/DC, is considered bad practice, even if you meant well. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Andrewlp1991 (talk) 00:08, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Very mature, Kiltedscottishkiwigrant. It took you a lot longer to vandalise that page than it took for someone to come along and undo it. Why waste your time like that? Bretonbanquet (talk) 00:35, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm struggling with using Wikipedia and not confident about editing or other online actions/rules. I'm trying to cancel my user access. Sorry and thanks for the pointer from andrwelp1991
And that involves systematically deleting other people's take page comments, does it? You don't have a user page so there's nothing to delete. Deleting other people's talk page comments is vandalism, and it's also not very helpful to delete all your own comments as it makes the conversation worthless to other users. Someone may restore them. You can't cancel your access, you just simply stop posting, if that's what you want to do. Bretonbanquet (talk) 02:00, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
