Peter Kenez Deletion[edit]

Hi. I've been a wikipedia user for years and just now started writing and editing articles. I noticed that you deleted one of my articles for "patented nonsense." I just wanted to know why; it said it may be improper formatting or something that doesn't merit an article. I just wanted to know if I could save the article or how I can learn from this; again, I'm new to the contributing end of wikipedia and I'd like to do my best to be a good contributor. Anyways, thanks for reading this. Hope all is well.

Hi, how are you?
The reason I deleted the page is that it's a page that does not merit an article, rather it is more of an instruction than an encyclopedia article. Also, it was only one line, and article should be at least a paragraph to begin with, to ensure that they have enough content. If you'd like more information, have a look at the criteria for speedy deletion.
In terms of learning, perhaps you can create or edit an article that is a broader subject- or expand an article that already exists.
I hope that answered your questions, if not, feel free to contact me again. Cheers- CattleGirl talk | sign! 07:25, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The article Peter Kenez has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:Notability, unsourced biography of a living person

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
