Holy freakin' sh!t[edit]

What the hell is up KojiDude! Long time no see! Man we've missed you here mate! Never really been the same without you. How's it going man? Where the hell have you been? Man we need to catch up. Send me an E-mail sometime or I'll drop by your forum lol. I've been really busy finishing up quarter finals so I haven't been on as much either. Glad to see you back again. Cheers!-- bulletproof 3:16 06:21, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RFA Thanks[edit]

Thank you for your comments on my RFA. Even though it failed with 28 supports, 42 opposes, and 15 neutrals, I am grateful for the suggestions and advice I have received and I do hope to improve as a Wikipedian. If you ever need my help in any endeavor, feel free to drop me a line. --Sharkface217 20:08, 13 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

April 2008[edit]

This is the only warning you will receive for your disruptive edits.
If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did to Power Rangers: Jungle Fury, you will be blocked from editing. --KojiDude (Contributions) 03:57, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me!--KojiDude (Contributions) 03:58, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Is there a reason you vandalized the article, reverted yourself, warned yourself, and then apologized to yourself?—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 05:59, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I was bored.--KojiDude (Contributions) 21:17, 21 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA comment[edit]

Since the RfA has finished, I will comment here. In response to "Isn't it more important that he knew the pages met the speedy delete criteria than it is that he knew which template to use? And, if he becomes an admin, he won't need to use those templates anymore.", you need to give a reason to delete an article. Not knowing which criteria in which to delete an article is extremely problematic as, if he does not know the SD criteria, it can cause major problems with the accuracy of his deletions. Furthermore, most of the examples I listed shouldn't have been deleted under any criteria. —Dark talk 04:22, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

thank spam[edit]

Thank you for voting in my RfA, which passed with 194 supporting, 9 opposing, and 4 neutral.
Your kindness and constructive criticism is very much appreciated. I look forward to using the tools you have granted me to aid the project. I would like to give special thanks to Tim Vickers, Anthony and Acalamari for their nominations.
Thank you again, VanTucky

"Page does exist"?[edit]

Not really, since it was redirected. Koji, I think you should quickly undo your edit to Talk:Android (Dragon Ball) because the template said to use {{hangon}} (see here). Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 01:35, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It says to use hang on only if you created the article yourself. Pages that have been redirected have to keep their talk pages. Like, for example, Canner. It's to keep a record of the discussion that took place.--KojiDude (Contributions) 01:37, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, ok. Thanks for finally clearing that up. I'll keep it in mind from here on. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 01:45, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, now that I think about it, I think because the talk page doesn't have any significant content that it should be deleted (I didn't read it over before I removed the tag, so I didn't know it was just one sentence. lol). I'll put the tag back up.--KojiDude (Contributions) 18:45, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever seems best. Oh, I left a response back here. Did you read it? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 21:17, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Boo[edit]

Would you have any spare time on your hands? I ask because I'd like to get the Majin Buu, Djinn Boo, etc., redirects fixed, and two heads are better than one. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 05:00, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No problem. I'll be off to bed soon, though.--KojiDude (Contributions) 05:02, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Did a bunch of the redirects, but look at what links to "Majin Buu". Can you get to these? I have some watchlist hunting to do. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 20:19, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
What name did the subtitles give for "Uub"? I'm guessing it was "Oob"? Takuthehedgehog and I do not know. Please reply on your talk page, Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 03:55, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Well all I can say is take Taku's advice. I don't have any references (none reliable at least) to give. I would assume, if they made it Boo, they would have to make it Oob, for continuity purposes. I would just go ahead and change it, but I guess it'd be better to find a source.--KojiDude (Contributions) 04:00, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks[edit]

Thanks for supporting my recent request for adminship which was successful with 89 supports, 0 opposes, and 2 neutrals. Unfortunately all I can offer is this lame text thanks rather than some fancy-smancy thank-you spam template thingy. I was very pleased to receive such strong support and to hear so many nice comments from editors whom I respect. I’ll do my best with the tools, and if you ever see me going astray don’t hesitate to drop a note on my talk page. Thanks again for your support!--Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 01:39, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Lady Aleena's RfA[edit]

KojiDude...Thank you for supporting my nomination for adminship. Through it I have become aware of a great many people who can help me in my future editing endeavors. Even though I was not promoted, your support shows that I still have something to contribute to Wikipedia, even if it is minor edits to fix spelling and grammar to working in WikiProjects to help others make great articles. If you wish to further discuss the nomination, please use its talk page. Stop by my talk page anytime, even if it is just to say hello. Have a wonderful day! - LA @ 04:19, 30 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you from Horologium[edit]

Thank you for participating in my RfA, which passed unanimously with the support of 100 editors. Your kindness is very much appreciated. I look forward to using the tools you have granted me to aid the project. I would like to give special thanks to Wizardman, Black Falcon and jc37 for nominating me. — Horologium

New Project[edit]

Myself and several other editors have been compiling a list of very active editors who would likely be available to help new editors in the event they have questions or concerns. As the list grew and the table became more detailed, it was determined that the best way to complete the table was to ask each potential candidate to fill in their own information, if they so desire. This list is sorted geographically in order to provide a better estimate as to whether the listed editor is likely to be active.

If you consider yourself a very active Wikipedian who is willing to help newcomers, please either complete your information in the table or add your entry. If you do not want to be on the list, either remove your name or just disregard this message and your entry will be removed within 48 hours. The table can be found at User:Useight/Highly Active, as it has yet to have been moved into the Wikipedia namespace. Thank you for your help. Useight (talk) 02:41, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, getting my editcount up is a good thing, I suppose, but it is already over 11,000. I just can't figure out the best way to get the word about the project out. I'm just going to revert my reversions and then think about it some more. Useight (talk) 03:45, 3 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re-numbering q's[edit]

Yeah, I thought about that, but didn't do it in case there were any references to them by their original numbering. (Which there weren't in the RfA, but I can't really be sure of that on pages outside the RfA). Splash - tk 00:49, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ah. Sorry. I've done that before, but I usually just type in the question #'s into the Ctrl-F thing, which only takes a minute or so. I didn't mean to come off rude in the edit summary, I was just kidding around.--KojiDude (Contributions) 00:52, 5 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rfb participation thanks[edit]

Hello, Koji.

I wanted to personally thank you for taking part in the project-wide discussions regarding my candidacy for bureaucratship. After bureaucratic discussion, the bureaucrats decided that there was sufficient significant and varied opposition to my candidacy, and thus no consensus to promote, in other words, "heck no :( " Although personally disappointed, I both understand and respect their decision, especially in light of historical conservatism the project has had when selecting its bureaucrats. If you have any further suggestions or comments as to how you think I could help the project, please let me know. Once again, thank you for your support. -- Avi (talk) 17:15, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

WBOSITG's RfA[edit]

Friendly notice[edit]

Friendly notice to let you know that things like this can come off as insulting. Antelantalk 02:00, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

When I said confusing or inconveinient, I meant that someone will come along and see a 100 S, 30O or labeled as 75%. People wouldn't understand, they'd try to fix it not knowing the N's count in, everyone would have to get used to it all over again, etc. I wasn't insulting you, I was trying to note a plothole in your idea. That's what talk pages are for.--KojiDude (C) 02:04, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sure, that explains "confusing", which never bothered me. Based on your comment above, where your summary of the idea made it clear that you had misunderstood it, I could tell that some would find it confusing. What bothered me is that you lined up a list of antonyms that you thought *could* describe my idea, and then twice negated the word I actually used ("I don't think interesting fits there. Maybe confusing, inconvenient, or unnecessary... but not interesting"). Did it get across the impression that you don't like the idea? Yes, loud and clear. Was it constructive or helpful? No. Antelantalk 02:16, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I thought it was constructive in saying that most people don't consider things that are confusing/misleading to be interesting, something which hadn't been brought up yet.--KojiDude (C) 02:22, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The point is that just because it confuses one doesn't mean that it is confusing or misleading in general. Antelantalk 02:25, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, and in general, 75% of 100 is 75.--KojiDude (C) 02:30, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
True, but completely off-topic. What are you getting at? Antelantalk 02:33, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The hypothetical situation I proposed in my initial reply. Sorry, I'm a very unspecific person. I get it from my mother.--KojiDude (C) 02:35, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
OK. From your reply, it was clear that you were responding to a suggestion saying "Let's show %support and %oppose." Your response to such a suggestion was, rightly, to joke about how the math was trivial. The only problem is that my proposal wasn't that - it was "Let's change the way we display %support, and then add a %oppose column because the old 100%-support%=oppose% wouldn't work anymore." Antelantalk 02:39, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Hm. Ok. I think I see what happened. I was assuming we were still discussing the idea of having N's count against the S%. Sorry about that.--KojiDude (C) 02:43, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. Thanks for being willing to discuss it. Antelantalk 03:11, 14 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dodoria and Zarbon[edit]

Why do you think it's necessary to give these two a perfunctory nod in the Freeza article? For their part in the area they're mentioned in they're naught but filler, a "by the way, some disposable henchmen were there too" parting shot. The main crux of the article isn't the lackeys, which Freeza has plenty of and to spare we could name still - but their boss.

The straight-shot rv bothers me as well, but 'k. That sentence with Cold and Trunks tosses commas around like they're going outta style. 98.199.186.160 (talk) 02:44, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, first of all, thanks for deciding to talk about it with me instead of just reverting. Second, they deserve mention because even though they are henchmen, they're the notable henchmen. They are recurring characters in the series and kind of serve as Freeza's right hand men. As you can see, we don't go into detail explaining them, we just link to their corresponding sections on the List of extraterrestrials. The article isn't just about Freeza, it's about the events in his life.--KojiDude (C) 02:58, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I feel giving them a shout-out's excessive there even in passing, but I see your point. 98.199.186.160 (talk) 03:08, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

NPA on RfA[edit]

Please keep your commentary civil and on the reasoning. This is not appropriate.Balloonman (talk) 23:36, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

How is that a personal attack? I want you to show me the section on NPA that says I can't light-heartedly warn someone that their actions are going to attract negative attention.--KojiDude (C) 23:41, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
So me saying "you're gonna get alot of crap for that" is a personal attack (even though I didn't comment insultingly on either him or his opinion), but this isn't?--KojiDude (C) 23:52, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Your comment was sarcastic and didn't address the idea. I've gone to Icewedge's page and told him to stop his response as well.Balloonman (talk) 23:56, 15 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sarcasm is when you say something but mean the opposite. I wasn't being sarcastic, I was telling him what was going to happen in the hopes that he might retract his votes himself. I did it in a joking manner, but I only did that to detract from the sense of serious-ness of the situation so it wouldn't become a big deal (which it did). Also, this is a little irrelevant, but I was right, and he did receive some comments about his opinion on one RfA, and all of his votes were striken for a time. As for not adressing the "idea", I'll remind you that I'm perfectly allowed to comment on whatever I want, so long as I don't insult anyone (which I didn't do). I don't really feel like you WP:AGF'd here in simply assuming my comment was sarcastic and meaningless.--KojiDude (C) 00:05, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. The Highly Active Users project has gone through a complete revamping per popular demand. We believe this new format will make it easier for new editors to find assistance. However, with the new format, I must again ask you to verify your information on this page. I attempted to translate the data from the old version to the new, but with the extensive changes, I may have made some errors. Thanks again. Useight (talk) 04:05, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Vacuum"[edit]

I'm a bit uncomfortable with the term. Do we really have to link to a word everybody knows of? WP:CONTEXT discourages this. Please reply below, I'd like to keep the conversation on one page. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 22:29, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I didn't know what a vacuum was beyond cleaning appliances until my freshman year of High School, in Physics class. But, if you think it's really un-necessary, I won't argue against it's removal.--KojiDude (C) 22:34, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks man. Yeah, I wouldn't be here in the first place if I didn't approve. While I'm here, let me ask: what's with the {{unreferenced}} on your user page? You do know it's for Wikipedia articles? Just curious. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 22:43, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, that. It's meant for humor. To be funny. :)--KojiDude (C) 22:46, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thought so ;) but what did you mean here? That is a link to this discussion. Ya want the # visible in the edit summary or somethin'? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 22:55, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
You see the difference between this and this? Putting a # sign after an article or talk page name, then the name of a specific section, makes it link straight to the section you named.--KojiDude (C) 22:58, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I did do that. Click the link. Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 23:07, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh. Sorry about that... for some reason it didn't go there the first time I clicked it. Maybe my computer's just old. Everybody has those paper-thin, shmancy fancy notebook laptops now, my computer's still 24 by 30. :( --KojiDude (C) 23:30, 16 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thank-spam[edit]

KojiDude/Archive 2, just a note of appreciation for your recent support of my request for adminship, which ended successfully with 112 supports, 2 opposes, and 1 neutral. If there's something I've realized during my RFA process this last week, it's that adminship is primarily about trust. I will strive to honour that trust in my future interactions with the community. Many thanks! Gatoclass (talk) 06:26, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

On opinions[edit]

Kurt is entitled to his opinion, just as Tree is entitled to his opinion of Kurt's opinion. Since it wasn't a blatant personal attack, just a comment on the character of the action, I don't think it was appropriate to edit it. xenocidic ( talk ¿ review ) 23:51, 17 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I suppose it's my opinion that calling an action is hypocritical is not insulting/uncivil. xenocidic ( talk ¿ review ) 00:04, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This...[edit]

diff made me smile. Sorry I wasnt' watching the page. I go in waves at WT:RFA. Some days, it strikes me as absolutely hilarious in its proposterousness. And so I comment (or archive). Most days, it strikes me as "same old, same old". WT:RFA should redirect to WP:PEREN, in my humbled opinion. But still, thanks for the creds..:-) Keeper | 76 | Disclaimer 00:59, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, it can get pretty redundant around there (and pretty funny but mostly redundant :D). Without you to be Captain Archive, we'd be hitting the 2,000 kilobyte limit. That redirect is a funny idea, btw. Just put a little note at the top of WP:PEREN "if you are looking for WT:RFA, we have hidden the link somewhere in this page. AfD nomination of Sinistrals[edit]

I have nominated Sinistrals, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sinistrals. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. My Recent Rfa[edit]

Although you opposed me in my recent RFA I will still say thanks as from your comments and the other users comments that opposed me I have made a todo list for before my next RFA. I hope I will have resolved all of the issues before then and I hope that you would be able to support me in the future. If you would like to reply to this message or have any more suggestions for me then please message me on my talk page. Thanks again. ·Add§hore· Talk/Cont 16:14, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Userpage[edit]

Glad you like it =) Feel free to add the same template to your talk page as people often jump right to your talk page so it makes sense to have one there. I would've done so, but there was no permissive like on your main page. Happy editing, xenocidic ( talk ¿ review ) 21:02, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

No ritual required, just the same code. If you want to change the functionality at all (i.e. the time periods at which it updates), you can add parameters, as explained at {{Statustop}}. Feel free to let me know if you need anything explained further. xenocidic ( talk ¿ review ) 21:10, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know that a prod tag can only be removed once. Should we just make an WP:AFD and be over with it? Please reply below, Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 03:45, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I didn't know that either. But, it makes sense. Once the prod gets put it up sparks a conversation, so it's served it's purpose. Anyway, if we AfD Boo Saga, we'll have to do the same for all the others. It'd get really confusing to keep track. I think, if you're willing to subject yourself to that ammount of stress, you should go ahead with it, but first I'd say to try to fix the articles up instead. Just write the articles so it doesn't re-tell the Sagas, but so it describes them. Personally, I'd suggest mergeing them all to one list like List of Saiyans in Dragon Ball. With consensus at WT:DBZ or another talk page, of course. (You don't need AfD to merge)--KojiDude (C) 03:52, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, and another thing, don't be afraid to edit the crap out of these Saga pages. If you're strongly considering deletion, it won't really make a difference if you can't improve it, cause then the nom will just go through as normal. Better safe than sorry.--KojiDude (C) 03:55, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
It's not that I'm afraid you know. We've had several discussions concerning the saga pages and character lists on WT:DBZ which have never been concluded. Two of the users from there, TTN and Sephiroth BCR, said they were too occupied or something to continue but I don't think TTN will be helping any time soon due to ArbCom. Hey, I could ask Collectonian to afd some pages with her WP:TW tool (they'll get set up faster than me doing it manually). What do you think? Lord Sesshomaru (talkedits) 04:22, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Go for it! As long as you've got a set plan, AfD is a great place to find the general consensus on what to do with the articles. I'm sure Collectonian would be happy to help.--KojiDude (C) 04:48, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Verfiability[edit]

Please read WP:V. All content of Wikipedia should be attributable to a source. Wikipedia editors are not supposed to writing their own ideas about the subject, but reporting on what others have said. But we need to know who those others are... Madagascar periwinkle (talk) 22:23, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's an article about a mtyhological being created hundreds of years ago. You may as well tag every sentence in the article. You're not really going to be able to push WP:V onto an article like this. It's about an Idea. Just like the Love article, or the Agni article.--KojiDude (C) 22:29, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No, most of the article is well-cited. It tells who wrote what about it. But the inclusion of uncited material which may just be speculation on the part of individual Wikipedia editors should not be happening and you shouldn't be defending it... Madagascar periwinkle (talk) 22:32, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
In any case, it is not an idea, it is a myth. Myth is a subject of academic study and we should be reporting what has been said by specific individuals who engage in this study, summarize the history, etc. Madagascar periwinkle (talk) 22:34, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I think you've gone far enough with the weasle words tag (a {{references}} would probably have suited your cause better) as a compromise, so I don't see anything else to discuss. Except for the fact that you edit conflicted me on my own user talk page. You cheeky bastard! ;-) --KojiDude (C) 22:37, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry about that :-) I think a references tag would have been going too far. There are lots of references, inline. Just a few speculations that use "some say", "others say" without being specific or giving a reference. I think I used the right tag. I'd rather have used inline tags. Madagascar periwinkle (talk) 22:40, 28 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
