Essentially you need a lot more information about the petroleum geology. I don't object to you providing economic and engineering data as well but the emphasis is on describing the geological system which is what you will be receiving your grade on. You really need to have a better explanation of the tectonic setting of your basin and then have individual subheadings describing to us the source, seal, reservoir etc. as well as the trapping mechanism. I would strongly urge you to provide us with a stratigraphic table showing the main formation names, ages and sediment types so that the reader can become familiar with the geological system in a short amount of time. A map would not hurt either. None of the references you provide appear to be about geology. This definitely needs to be fixed and details provided Pclift (talk) 17:55, 4 November 2016 (UTC)

I would strongly suggest getting into more details about the geology and previous depositional environment. If there is already a page that does this for you just link to it, otherwise add it to your page. Depositional history? A good example for geology/geologic history for this course is the Permian Basin (North America). Would also be a good idea to link certain terms that non-industry people might not understand to their respective pages, such as permeability. Be consistent in the way you list units. If you list 'API ##-##' but then later use 'API gravity of ## degrees' is looks bad. When you use a percent, for instance the sulfur content, be sure to list what type of percent it is. Sulfur content could be by volume or weight, and which one it is needs to be specified. I am assuming it is by weight, because Peter mentions a lack of geology sources, and petroleum engineers typically do it by weight, but other people wouldn't necessarily know that.
