Diagonalizable matrix[edit]

Hello. I deleted the section you were adding to diagonalizable matrix. The reason is that what you get in the situation you're describing (where the null spaces do not give sufficient vectors) is not a diagonal matrix but a Jordan matrix. If you look to page two of the PDF file you added as a reference, you see an example with a 10 x 10 matrix (in the box on the left side, towards the bottom). That is not a diagonal matrix, because it has some ones just above the diagonal. Cheers, Jitse Niesen (talk) 22:39, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Ripcord (skydiving), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Ripcord. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Copy-and-paste page moves[edit]

Hello, Kostmo. Concerning your contribution, Ripcord (skydiving), a page move cannot be done by simply copying and pasting the contents of a page into a new location, as such a process does not transfer the page's edit history and therefore violates the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL). As a violation of the page move process, Ripcord (skydiving) needs to be temporarily deleted under the speedy deletion criteria so that the page you intended to move may be properly moved in a way that will preserve its edit history. Ripcord (skydiving) has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message. If not, please refrain from editing either the page you intended to move or Ripcord (skydiving) until the latter has been deleted according to Wikipedia's speedy criterion G6 (non-controversial housekeeping).

If you did not intend to make a page move, then please insert the {{hangon}} tag right below the {{db-copypaste}} tag in Ripcord (skydiving) and state your intentions on Talk:Ripcord (skydiving). An administrator will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do. Thank you for your contributions. Shirik (Questions or Comments?) 07:10, 8 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Pose_(computer_vision)#Pose_Estimation, has been proposed for a merge with another article. If you are interested in the merge discussion, please participate by going here, and adding your comments on the discussion page. Thank you. Stephen LaPorte (talk) 01:39, 3 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Hujinami-nawate.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section I2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being minor in the usual way.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. With the script in place, you can continue with this functionality indefinitely (its use is governed by WP:MINOR). If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 19:54, 15 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Figure showing ART or FBP[edit]

Dear Kostmo, it seems that the image

Algebraic Reconstruction Technique - animated

shows a reconstruction using Filtered back projection and not ART. However, since only one iteration is shown, it is difficult to spot the low-frequency artifact that I would expect in such a reconstruction. Could you clarify this? Should we create a figure comparing FBP and ART? AKMaier (talk) 10:00, 3 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
