Disambiguation link notification for May 24[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Dieter Dierks, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Michael Chapman (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

I am wondering why[edit]

you reverted my edit at Tutti Frutti (song)? Einar aka Carptrash (talk) 17:12, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. First the description of the category says "This is a category for songs which only feature nonsensical lyrics." I guess you added the category because of the scat-line "a-wop-bop-a-loo....". The lyrics are more than this line. Second, in poetry there are no "nonsensical" lyrics at all. How can you say "a-wop..." is nonsensical? This is "point of view" at its best. The whole category should be deleted. --Krächz (talk) 20:53, 14 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I stumbled across that category and noticed that pretty much none of the songs are only nonsense lyrics so added a few titles. I would have no objection to deleting the category, especially if the "only" remains. Carptrash (talk) 05:20, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Carptrash. I deleted it from Tutti Frutti because the article is on my watchlist. I'm usually editing in German Wikipedia and I am not familiar with the processes for category deletion in en-Wiki. So sorry for this patchwork. Greetings --Krächz (talk) 07:44, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
By the way: If the "only" remains, nearly every doo-wop song could be added. What about "She loves you" by th Beatles? Is "yeah yeah yeah!" sensical or nonsensical? Did you know that there is an academic discussion about the meaning of the "Naaaa-na-na Na-nana..." from the Band's "The Night they drove old dixie down"? Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti" intro is one of the best known "non-sensical" Scat-line in music history and I know at least three or four explanations about its meaning. No, this is not "non-sensical", perhaps it's Onomatopoeia or something like that. --Krächz (talk) 07:53, 15 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
