You are suspected of sockpuppetry, which means that someone suspects you of using multiple Wikipedia accounts for prohibited purposes. Please make yourself familiar with the notes for the suspect, then respond to the evidence at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Smithse4. Thank you. June 2012[edit]

Do not add personal information about other contributors to Wikipedia, as you did at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Smithse4. Wikipedia operates on the principle that every contributor has the right to remain completely anonymous. Posting personal information about a user is strictly prohibited under Wikipedia's harassment policy. Wikipedia policy on this issue is strictly enforced and your edits have been reverted or removed, not least because such information can appear on web searches. Wikipedia's privacy policy is there to protect the privacy of every user, including you. Persistently adding personal information about other contributors may result in you being blocked from editing. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 21:47, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Sorry! I thought that's how I was supposed to defend myself against the sockpuppetry charge. My mistake. Kris3011 (talk) 02:36, 30 June 2012 (UTC)Kris3011[reply]
  • Maybe I shouldn't have used the template, my appologies for coming across as anything other than a gentle but firm message. The policy is taken very seriously, I just don't want to see someone blocked over it, but I will if I need to. And the point i'm getting at is you can still defend yourself without disclosing information. Something along the lines of "Editor X works in the same office as I" instead of saying their name. -- DQ (ʞlɐʇ) 23:36, 30 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
