Priyanka Chopra

J.Lo has released about 12 albums and Chopra has released 0 thus far, so they are not in the same class in that respect. Her music career is mentioned in both the lead and in a separate section , so I think that is good enough for now. If and when Chopra becomes more known as a recording artist than an actress, then the article will certainly be updated to reflect that. As of now, it is pretty clear that she is an actress, who is just getting started in music.

Another issue: Don't you think it would be better for an editor with more experience to review the article for GA? BollyJeff | talk 13:04, 8 October 2012 (UTC)

I had a look at the edits of the other editor and it seems that he does reference everything he adds. According to me, the problem lies in the fact that both of you want to work on the same article. So why you befriend him or at least talk to him so that you can both contribute constructively to the article? To render things easier, you can both use a sandbox. An article should at least be one year old before taking it to FAC. "In My City" looks generally solid. The first two sections are awesome. The rest could largely be improved but it is too early as even the music video has not come out. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 17:27, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Priyanka Chopra

Okay, here is how I see it. She has been doing films for 10 years, and recording albums for 1 year (really less than that). Naturally, one would expect the the film content in the article to be 10 times greater than the music content. It is very simple for an impartial person to understand. You can add more music content in articles about her songs, which you have already done, and the album when it comes out. But in her biographical article, it has to be balanced. You have to avoid WP:Undue and WP:Recentism, among other policies. I am going to try to push this article to FA, since she is becoming known in America now, but it can not happen if people try to turn it into a fansite. I hope you can understand where I am coming from on this. Remember that Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a repository for every snippet of info about certain stars. Please do not add any more minor "honors" to the PC main page. That can be put in the awards sub-page. We should not duplicate everything on both pages, but add only the most prestigious ones here. Also, please look at the reference formatting that is used throughout the article, and make new stuff match. You did better this time, but its not quite perfect. RE: Personal Attacks

You should read the article on personal attacks coz it seems as though you don't know what qualifies as an attack. Also, have a look at your mistakes before accusing people of attacking you. You undid my edits even though I had provided VALID reasons as to why I reverted yours. The Priyanka Chopra is a GA and a potential FA article, It needs to be stable. So please don't keep adding trivial stuff, text that is not present in the source and unnecessary additional words. BTW, I'm always polite and friendly with my fellow editors. Ask anyone! I've been working with BollyJeff on this article for quite a while now and we really want it to become a featured article. Small req

PC section headings

The headings are named based on her personal critical success, not necessarily that of the films. It takes a bunch of people to make a film successful, not just her. Based on what you said, there would only be one paragraph for debut in '02, one paragraph for setback in '07 and half of '08, and the rest all success? Come on! She doesn't need us to make her look good, so lets's not exaggerate things. A hundred people could come with a hundred ways to group the info and title it. You want to start a big debate? How about beginning up to before MSK is 'Debut and breakthrough', current 'Breakthrough and setbacks' minus 04 failures becomes 'Success and setbacks'? That little section in 07-08 is too small for a section, and some of the films in 04-06 were stinkers, you cannot sat all were good or successful. BollyJeff | talk 19:49, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

FLC

Hi Pks. It's always great to see new editors take an interest in FLC, or any of the other content processes. I looked at the list you worked on and think it needs some more work before an FLC nomination. The main issue I see is that not all of the awards and nominations Chopra received are referenced. To allow readers to verify that information in an article is accurate, it really needs to be referenced. I imagine that the reviewers at FLC would oppose the list if more citations aren't added. Once you add more references, I recommend taking the list to peer review, which will give you a chance to get further advice before a nomination; this is very useful for first-time nominators who haven't worked on featured content before. I took a quick look at your sandbox and while it looks better in terms of references, I still think it needs more work. For example, the second sentence is "Born in Jamshedpur, India, on July 18, 1982 and raised in many cities across India and beyond", which lacks a subject (Chopra). I also see some grammar issues in the lead and some awards/nominations that still need citations. Also, don't trust the wiki articles coz most of them are updated by random people and not the regular wikipedia editors. I have reliable references for all the awards. I'll add them in a while. You should at least wait for the award shows rewarding the best performances of 2012 to finish. It's early and if you nominate it now, you will end up doing twice more work than that required if you nominate it after the award shows. Jivesh1205 (Talk) 15:42, 25 December 2012 (UTC)

Chopra filmography

Well, I do not understand what would possess you to work day and night on this. I am highly against this move. I see no reason to put directors, budgets, and grosses of every film in her article. That's why we have links to those articles. I also would like to have all her films here and not have to go to another page to find them. Some actors have many more films than her on their own page. I also don't care a bit about J.Lo; and her article is not even a GA. Let's see what the others say who you wrote to, but from me its a no. Sorry. BollyJeff | talk

I did not mean to be rude, I was just genuinely shocked by the amount of work you put into this, especially since you have the FLC going on, and somewhat saddened that you are still trying to add new stuff when what is really needed is some more improvements to the main article. I already had to remove the names of the schools she attended in USA due to lack of sources, and I suspect that the same may happen to the schools in India for the same reason. Right now we only have one reliable source, and that is via Highbeam, which not everyone can see. We really need to find some more reliable sources for the early life section, maybe even in videos where she is talking about herself. I wish you would use your energy toward that end. It is also maybe more appropriate to compare this article to other Indian actress FAs such as Preity Zinta and Vidya Balan rather then Hollywood celebrities.
