March 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm KNHaw. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Michael Moore seemed less than neutral and has been removed. If you think this was a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Thanks for commenting on my talk page! I'm sorry I reverted your edit, but it felt rather one sided, especially for highlighting the backlash on a single tweet quite some time ago.

If you feel there's issues with Moore's stance or behavior on gender and race, I think you might be better off finding a larger pattern and then bringing it up that way in the article. The phrasing "Michael Moore tried to convince Twitter that there aren't any bad women..." is problematic, but something more like "Moore has has been criticized as showing a pattern of oversimplifying gender..." or "...making assumptions about others' behavior purely based on gender..." or something in that vein would be better serving. This is something that can't be attacked as your opinion - you're showing the existence of such criticism, which is a statement of fact. You would definitely be better off finding multiple sources to show a patern, though, and you need to be ready to discuss it on the talk page if someone disagrees with your phrasing. The article WP:NPOVT might help you head off any disagreements in advance.

As always, feel free to ask me any questions at my talk page.

Thanks! --KNHaw (talk) 00:59, 7 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

New Article[edit]

(Duplicating text on my talk page)

By default, any new article appears first as a draft so you cna work on it without it being criticized or critiqued. You have to move it into the normal namespace to make it part of Wikipedia proper. See here for details.
I skimmed over the article and have a suggestion, which you are free to take or ignore. Because it is rather short and still an "in work" project, I think you should mark it as a "Stub" article. Wikipedia:Stub has more details on this, but basically you put the article out there for others to share but it's understood that there is still work to be done. Mothership HackerMoms is a good example of a stub Makerspace/Hackerspace stub article.
To mark something as a stub, you normally add {{stub}}, but I would suggest {{nonprofit-org-stub}} instead to mark it as a non-profit. You should also look at the categories at the bottom of Mothership HackerMoms or the infobox at the top to see if they might apply to your article.
As I said - just a suggestion. It's your choice on how you want to edit your article.
Let me know if you have any questions!

A tag has been placed on NerdLab YYC requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator.
