Recent submission about gerald R. Weeks[edit]

Hi, You recently declined a submission for an article about Gerald R. Weeks for the following reason: "This suggestion doesn't sufficiently explain the importance or significance of the subject. See the speedy deletion criteria A7 and/or guidelines on biographies. Please provide more information on why the person or group is worthy of inclusion in an encyclopedia, and cite reliable, published third-party sources, so that the information in the article is verifiable. Thank you."

However, when reading the guidelines on biographies it says academics "Many scientists, researchers, philosophers and other scholars (collectively referred to as "academics" for convenience) are notably influential in the world of ideas without their biographies being the subject of secondary sources."

It also says "Failure to meet these criteria is not conclusive proof that a subject should not be included" and "A person who fails to meet these additional criteria may still be notable under Wikipedia:Notability."

Dr Weeks has written several books that are well known and used widely throughout the psyhcology and amrriage and family therapy field. The ntability link says a person may be notable if The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field." He has also recieved numerous awards which were cited in the text. The notability link also says they may be included if "The person has received a well-known and significant award or honor, or has been nominated for one several times."

I have listed his many publications and awards along with links that support other information within the text. I based my article off another person (Ronald Werner-Wilson) who is also notable (although to a lesser extent) within the field of marriage and family therapy. His article is published and there are less sources for his artcile than for mine. What do I need to do to get this artcile up and going? Please help! Thanks so much for your time!
