How to do it right[edit]

We'd love to have your content, and here's the way to do it:

First, please understand that WP is intended to be free content that anyone in the world can use, subject only to the requirement that they give attribution. Therefore, it is necessary that anything posted here not be further restricted. Therefore , the material must be freely available under the available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike License , which permits use copying and modification by anyone for any purpose, even commercial purpose -- subject only to giving attribution. It is not possible to just authorize it for posting on WP. It has to specifically be released under a free license for use anywhere. Nor is it possible to release it for non-commercial use--the principle is that we want to be a free source for anyone.

There are two ways to do it. One is to change the copyright notice on the relevant web pages to the proper license. Then we or anyone can take the text from there also. The other is for the copyright owner to explicitly license the content under the required license according to the detailed procedure at WP:DCM. If you do either of these, there's no problem. Otherwise , it would need to be completely rewritten from scratch. As an experienced administrator here, I assure you that there is no other ways of making an exception.
