Why can't I edit some particular pages?

Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them.

How do I create citations?

1. Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
2. Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
3. In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
4. Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
5. Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
6. In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
7. If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:

Non-free image use

Hi Kvwiki1234. The licensing of each image you see on Wikipedia is determined by it copyright status and not every image file you see on Wikipedia is licensed the same. Some files are licensed as public domain or licensed under a free licensed suitable for Wikipedia and these are often collectively referred to as "free images". Other files are licensed as non-free content because of their copyright status and these file are commonly referred to as "non-free images". Non-free image use is highly restricted and each use of such an an image must satisfy Wikipedia's non-free image use policy. One of these restrctions is WP:NFCC#9, which says that non-free content can only be used in the article namespace. Non-free content should not be used on usepages or their subpages as explained in WP:UP#Non-free files which is why I have removed the non-free File:Commonwealth Flag - 2013.svg from User:Kvwiki1234/sandbox. Perhaps you did not notice the edit sum I left the first time I made said edit; therefore, I'm posting this here to provide more explanation. Please do not re-display this file again because doing so is clearly in violation of relevant Wikipedia policy. Please do not continue to add non-free images to your userpages. Doing so is clearly not allowed per Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. It's OK to make a mistake once or maybe even twice, but continuing to repeat the same mistake (even after being advised not to) is going to eventually be seen as disruptive and will lead to an administrator being asked to get involved. Image use on Wikpedia can be tricky, and non-free image use can be even trickier. Before adding more images to your userpages, please verify the image's copyright status by going to the file's page and checking the file's licensing. If the file is licensed as non-free, do not add it to your user page. If you're not sure, then ask for help at WP:MCQ or WT:NFCC.

You are also adding non-free images to articles in manner that does not comply with Wikipedia's non-free content use policy. As I stated on my user talk page, non-free use is not automatic and each use of a non-free image on Wikipedia is required to satisfy all ten non-free content criteria. You need to demonstrate this by providing a separate specific non-free use rationale showing how all ten of these criteria are satisfied. Once again, non-free image use can be very tricky and simply providing a non-free use rationale does not automatically mean that the image is OK to use. So, if you're not sure whether it's OK to use a particular non-free image in a particular article, please ask for help at WP:MCQ or WT:NFCC. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:07, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

I know you haven't made these edits in awhile, but I'm letting you know just in case, as I now have to revert all of the edits. Two things. One is, no flags in MMA bios. The other thing is, Brazil isn't a nationality. Neither is Poland, or United States, etc. Those are countries. If you're confused, please refrain from making these edits in the future. Thanks. Include the ending tag

Regarding edits like [1], please include the ending tag. The page may look the same without it but it's registered by Wikipedia:Linter and requires cleanup later. Nepal page

Hello, On the Nepal page, under the Kingdom of Nepal section in history, the last sentence of the 3rd paragraph is wrong. "Madhesis, having supported the East India Company during the war, had their lands gifted to Nepal.[43]"

As is explained later in the 4th paragraph, Madhesi people of Nepal were the non-Nepali people that lived in the terai. However that sentence structure is also misleading: "Some parts of the Terai region populated with non-Nepali peoples were gifted to Nepal by the British as a friendly gesture because of her military help to sustain British control in India during the rebellion"

Instead, it should be more along the lines of "Part of the Terai region taken from Nepal in the Sugauli Treaty, now populated with non-Nepali people, were returned back to Nepal by the British as thanks for having supported the British during various Indian rebellions."

Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Hello, I'm Noq. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Haridwar have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. The addition is promotional, WP:UNDUE and the references supplied are a 404 page and a non existent domain.
