Anything (Carbonated Drink)[edit]

A tag has been placed on Anything (Carbonated Drink), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group or service and which would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 52 Pickup 09:59, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Anything (Carbonated Drink). If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. DES (talk) 15:28, 22 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Youarelame.com, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because it is an article about a certain website, blog, forum, or other web content that does not assert the importance or significance of that web location. Please read our criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 7 under Articles, as well as notability guidelines for websites. Please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources which verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on Talk:Youarelame.com. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Thanks. -- Shadowlynk (Talk) 08:46, 18 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Communist state[edit]

Just a warning that I'm about to delete all your hard efforts at Communist state, as it appears to be a cut and paste from another wiki, and not a reliable source. 199.125.109.19 07:05, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Since most of them appear to have articles on Wikipedia, I would suggest just making a list like this:

Just don't make it so obvious that it is a cut and paste. 199.125.109.19 07:35, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Chen An Ping[edit]

A tag has been placed on Chen An Ping, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a1.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Blair - Speak to me 07:52, 15 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Anti-National Service Riot[edit]

A {{prod}} template has been added to the article Anti-National Service Riot, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. If you endorse deletion of the article, and you are the only person who has made substantial edits to the page, please tag it with {{db-author}}. Phgao 10:28, 19 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Taking a photo of a photo on a cameraphone does not make you that photo's creator, and as such, you are not able to release it into the public domain. Please provide some information on the book you got it from, its copyright status, and whether or not that book has been entered into the public domain. Also, as you may be aware, your article on Communist-led riot is up for deletion. Please participate in the discussion currently in place. --Black Butterfly 12:43, 23 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (Image:200px-Lin yu jong-1-.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:200px-Lin yu jong-1-.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 19:32, 10 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! I have reviewed the speedy delete request for this article. I am changing it to a proposed deletion request to give you some time to improve the article. In order to avoid deletion, you need to add at least a sentence explaining why the album is WP:Notable and you need to supply independent reliable sources. Please also provide English translations for the tracks etc. (English Wikipedia articles must be in English). Please see our WP:Notability (music) guideline for more information on what's required to keep the article. The proposed deletion process will delete the article in 5 days if the article still does not meet requirements. I appreciate your contribution and wish you success in improving the article. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:200px-Lin yu jong-1-.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:200px-Lin yu jong-1-.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 23:23, 29 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:VV plus 3.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:VV plus 3.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the source and creator of the image on the image's description page, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

ColourWolf Vandal[edit]

I want to know if you can help me in keeping ColourWolf's edits off these MediaCorp series. ColourWolf's edits are so obvious, even a non-Singaporean like me notice it. I can't do it alone. Can you help me? Arbiteroftruth 02:38, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The MapleStory logo image is specifically only allowed for use in an article about MapleStory. Its use in the Template:MapleStory Player is a violation of fair use. Please remove it. Corvus cornixtalk 03:04, 5 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We generally discourage slapping flags onto infoboxes because most of the time, they're used as decorations (i.e. "infoboxes look prettier with flags on them!"). Other reasons for omitting flags from infoboxes of personalities are documented at WP:FLAG. Pandacomics (talk) 23:44, 14 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another editor has added the "{{prod}}" template to the article VV Drama (+3), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Speedy deletion of Template:MapleStory Player[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:MapleStory Player requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 19:53, 12 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Be with You (Wilber Pan & Akon song)[edit]

The article Be with You (Wilber Pan & Akon song) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

no indication that this meets WP:NSONGS

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 01:26, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Be with You (Wilber Pan & Akon song) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia, because it appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion process. If you can indicate how it is different from the previously posted material, place the template {{hangon}} underneath the other template on the article and put a note on the page's discussion page saying why this article should stay. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. If you believe the original discussion was unjustified, please contact the administrator who deleted the page or use deletion review instead of continuing to recreate the page. Thank you. PopMusicBuff talk 03:07, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles you created, as you did with Be with You (Wilber Pan & Akon song). If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please do the following:

  1. Place {{hangon}} on the page. Please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag(s).
  2. Make your case on the article's talk page.

Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. - SDPatrolBot (talk) 04:33, 5 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
