Per WP:DATE and WP:CONTEXT, solitary year, year-month and month links (e.g. 2006, April 2006, April etc.) should not be inserted unless there is a very good reason to. However, dates that include the day of the month and the month (e.g. April 18 or April 18 2006) can be linked, so that users' date preferences can work. Thanks.
