Hello. Help improve quality. Thanks you. Gokjdnf (talk) 08:08, 1 December 2021 (UTC)

Gokjdnf I will leave comments for you here regarding how to improve, as I don't know about the article subject so won't be editing anything in myself. Firstly, using refs in the infobox and lead is discouraged, so make sure all of that info is written out and sourced in the body then it can remain there without the refs. Also, avoid too short sub-sections like the pre-2012 one; you can do this by merging any with other ones and retitling, while paragraphs of sections/sub-sections can be merged too if they aren't lengthy enough. Everything needs to be backed up by appropriate sources, for which I recommend both looking through any current ones of relevance to see if the additional information is there and searching up using keywords. Not an expert in this field, but do you really need tables on occasions with a small number of entries? --K. Peake 09:00, 1 December 2021 (UTC)

Happy new year! My resolution: more GAs! I nominated BWV 157 - would you have time for a review? ... because I'd like a DYK for early February, and you are fast ;) - DYK that the last one you reviewed for me became a FA? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:41, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

ps: if you think that it has a strange infobox, compared to BWV 1, that's because parameters were reverted by a former editor of the article. What do you think about that? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 11:43, 16 January 2022 (UTC)

still curious --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:46, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

Gerda Arendt Sorry I forgot to reply, yes a review could be coming soon and massive congrats on your FA! --K. Peake 08:49, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
a review soon would be nice, because the dates for a possible DYK are close - I'm on vacation, but typically manage a few minutes each day --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:53, 24 January 2022 (UTC)
Thank you for the review! 2022 began happily with vacation. I uploaded images but stopped at 22 January - click on songs. 30 January means 10 years of Precious. It's also the birthday of a friend, - I'm so happy I mentioned his DYK on his 90th birthday when he was still alive. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:52, 30 January 2022 (UTC)

Re: Kanye West book

Hey ! I have Mark Beaumont's Kanye West bio book God & Monster. I bought it a while back hoping to augment some of the album articles, but I just had too much going on and probably won't anytime soon. But I see you've got a good handle of things in the West area around here. So I was thinking of offering you the book somehow if you'd like? Maybe I could ship it if you want to give me a shipping address via email? Anyway, just a thought. Piotr Jr. (talk) 20:11, 9 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello, thank you so much for the offer! I have heard of this book before and developed a desire to be able to read it properly so I fully accept, what's your email since mine is too relevant to my real identity to post here? K. Peake 10:02, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
Awesome! Here ya go. This should enable you to email me: Special:EmailUser/Piotr Jr. Piotr Jr. (talk) 14:11, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Fan editor research interview

Hi Kyle Peake! I don't know if we've worked together, but my name is Gen. Quon and I'm a Wikipedia editor who is also working on my PhD dissertation, which is about the information behaviors of fan editors. (Here's a page outlining my project, if you'd like to read more about it!) I've been reaching out to editors to see if they can share their experiences with me. Given the interests in music, I thought you might be a good editor to reach out to. Would you be interested in chatting with me about your info experiences here on Wikipedia? I'm more than happy to provide additional details via email, if you'd like.--Gen. Quon[Talk](I'm studying Wikipedia!) 16:27, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Hello Gen. Quon, thank you for reaching out to me and your project idea looks very interesting. I have enjoyed using Wiki to work on articles about music since this allows me to source my knowledge of works, exposing visitors to more info than before! Also, I have learnt from experience that proper sources always need to be used and editing leads to one coming across a variety of them. K. Peake 10:20, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
That's great to hear; that's the sort of thing I'd love to know more about. Do you happen to have the Wikipedia email function enabled? If so, I can send you more info there.--Gen. Quon[Talk](I'm studying Wikipedia!) 16:51, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
Yes I do; you can contact me using Special:EmailUser/Kyle Peake. K. Peake 18:05, 11 March 2022 (UTC)

Help fixing flow

I've been working a bit on extending the Hurricane (Kanye West song) page and I think it's okay so far. I just think some of the flow in my writing is wonky and I'm not the best at this so I was wondering if you could take a look at it and see what could be improved. Lmk - Nicenice23 (talk) 16:40, 10 March 2022 (UTC)

Nicenice23 I am rather impressed with how much you have expanded the article and the first section did read somewhat awkwardly, but I have smoothened it out now if you want to take a look! There's obviously a good amount left for a full expansion and I was thinking, how about us both working on "Hurricane" for a co-nom? --K. Peake 10:43, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
Reads much better now. Thanks
And yeah sure! I'm certain that the composition, release and reception sections could be expanded a bit more. I just haven't gotten around to it yet and have been unsure of how to tackle them. - Nicenice23 (talk) 11:14, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
Nicenice23 I will obviously need to contribute properly in order to co-nominate the article, for which I can work on those sections when I'm free. --K. Peake 12:19, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
Sounds good - Nicenice23 (talk) 12:26, 11 March 2022 (UTC)
