I'm trying to ensure Maryland is properly listed as having a valid and compliant Real-ID Enhanced Driver's License. I have added references from DHR and MD's websites showing full compliance. Maryland meets the definition of an EDL and DHS Has acknowledged that.

They provide travelers with a low-cost, convenient alternative for entering the United States from Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean through a land or sea port of entry, in addition to serving as a permit to drive. The Enhanced Driver's License (EDL) is a driver's license that is issued to U.S. Citizens or Canadian citizens in the U.S. State or Province in which you reside.

This driver's license is a Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative (WHTI) compliant document for travels by land or sea only. It denotes both identity and citizenship and is a Radio Frequency Identity card (RFID).

Not all U.S. States and Canadian Provinces issue the EDL.

An Enhanced non-driver photo ID card (ENDID) complies with WHTI. States such as New York issue ENDIDs to applicants who can prove U.S. citizenship and NYS residency.

NOTE: The EDL and the ENDID are not valid for international air travel. Kylerk (talk) 14:52, 14 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
