Use of secondary sources[edit]

Using only PDC articles as the source would not meet the requirements for verifiability and notability. 2023 PDC Challenge Tour series and 2023 PDC Development Tour series are an example of articles that were deleted due to not having “enough in-depth coverage from independent, reliable sources to pass WP:GNG” and 2023 PDC Pro Tour is tagged as being too reliant on primary sources. If we want the articles to meet Wikipedia's guidelines, the use of reliable secondary sources such as the BBC and Sky ones for WS1 and WS2 is necessary. One of the references (I tried to fix) but couldn't, was showing as an error, so I gave up trying to fix it. I just thought with so many of the same references, there didn't need to be that many. – 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 L1amw90  (🗣️ talk to me  • ✍️ contribs) 20:52, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah the errors on PDC ref for PC3&PC4 were caused by them being unhidden before the reference was available. Should be all clear now. In your sandbox thing of course you can use any reference style or type you want, but on the main page itself you see why we have to make sure we’re not reliant on PDC.tv. The last thing we want is all our hard work going down the drain through a page deletion. Sky & BBC coverage of Women's series events is something are ones we should use when available given their reputation as reliable independent perennial sources. Reliance on PDC.tv is what caused the downfall of the two pages mentioned plus many others. JamesVilla44 (talk) 20:58, 24 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know of any sources (other than darts oracle) for the prem darts page?... I tried looking but couldn't find anything. Only thing with D.O is that it shows incorrect information, and the only sources are from PDC itself, but that doesn't show full stats, 100+ 140+ etc... – 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 L1amw90  (🗣️ talk to me  • ✍️ contribs) 01:04, 26 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
